[Alpha] POMS - Essence Miner
Guides: Set up SCAR, SRL, & Scripts

POMS (Publicly Owned and Maintained Scripts) is looking for script testers for our current project: POMSEM (Essence Miner)

After setting up the latest SCAR and SRL Dev repositories, you can access the latest revision by creating a new folder in your scripts folder named POMS and checking out from http://srlpoms.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ . Please always update your revision to the latest release before testing.

All testers must post their entire debug log (progress reports) here and give a detailed explanation as to how the script ran, failed, and what you would like to see added or changed.

If you would like to become a POMS developer you need to be SRL member where you can access the other POMS thread.

Let me clarify this again cleary, anybody can test the script, if you want to work on it PM me.

Its pretty damn sexy guys AMAZING JOB!

Aubury finding could be improved.

I'd like it if it did NOT left click the portal, and then select from the choose option menu. A regular click would save time in the long run.

On its first walk to the Aubury, it lagged, muse moved around the bank a bit, and it was odd. But after that all was fine.

Of course ill do a longer run later with more details.

Only sad thing is based on my stats, I'm only getting 27Kgp per hour?
I haven't played in a while, but as you can see that character has level 60 mining, but I was using a mithril pickaxe. Would a rune pickaxe greatly increase the mining speed?

Once again, OUTSTANDING JOB! :D! Very smooth!

Ran for 3 hours on two characters. It stopped, don't know why (wasn't random). The first character was in aubery's shop without runes so it was most likely going to ess mine. The second character was set to false after banking only 2 loads. It stopped near the portal with a full bag of ess. Don't know why they stopped becasue as far as I saw, aubery finding and portal finding is flawless so I am guessing it was because I lagged and logged out and script didn't log back in. It would be good to add something like if not logged in then log in unless the player is false before every procedure.

BTW- Instead of Maintained, you wrote Mainted :p In the script Name.

why members only :crying: i love to test the scripts for you and give feedback. I did it for a script from Quickmarch before, maybe you could ask him if i can give useful information ^^

You should read properly...You can be a tester and post progress reports and feedback. You can't be a developer unless you are an SRL Member. So downloaad it and get testing...

Did you mean when it was banking ? Because it uses a New banking method, and if it fails it uses OpenBankQuiet by SRL wich creates a little lag. =)

I HAD a random and it solved it but when i came back i did not continued mining

Dam, I tried as hard as I could to counter-act the remining after a random...

Yea I need to fix the script name :redface:

Everyone, bewhere! this is only an Alpha the script has not even reached beta yet...

@YoHoJo, the left/click right click choose option is random, it's in favour of the fasest one but it's at about a 4:1 ratio, maybe 10:1 ratio would be better? :)

PROBLEM i found: for example my char is walking bank -> aubury and it stands in aubury it cant find aubury and has to wait till he walks out of my char.

Took a quick read through, it looks nice guys I think you should add some white space.

At times, your code is REALLY hard to follow as it just seems like a wall of text. White spaces lets you see what parts are doing what and objectifies it a bit.

Oh, and in your main loop, you can have local variables!

just do:

-.- Was going good till this came up. But the sad thing is...

IT SOLVED THE RANDOM!!!! I had the lamp in my inv which means srl solved it but it said failed and logged out and set my player as false :@ Could a dev please fix this. Its not like it can't solve it....Its just after solving it, the script says failed...

Isn't that technically a Global Variable? The variable can only be used by procedures/functions, or the main loop, if it is below the declaration. Kind of cheating :p

AFAIK, it is only recognized by the main loop.

Everything ran well during this test. One thing I noticed, as brought up before was that my character ended up getting stuck behind the rune shop and stayed there searching for Aubury which took a while. I ended up pausing the script and moving my character in the shop to prevent myself from looking anymore suspicious. Other than that minor blemish, the script ran exceedingly well.

The fonts for the form are very hard to read, the grey text on silver background. I have to turn my monitor to view it from an angle to read it.
Also, it would be nice if you could set how many hours to run for and then break for, or to run at certain times of the day, ie: 10am to 8pm or run 10 hours break for 14.

Seems to run great though, I didnt copy my proggy but it ran for about 35 loads and then failed the quizmaster random.

edit : has failed twice just a little northeast of auberys hut, like it runs down to the minimap symbol and then cant find him and goes inactive. It also switched worlds and went to a f2p world and so I stopped it and restarted it to keep getting pure ess.

MY problem with this script is that it cannot always find the essence, out of the 5 times I tried it only found it once only to not find the teleport and log itself out once again.

Found Aubury.
Teleported to mine.
Spawned in Middle South area.
Mining in South West.
Could not find essence source.
Displaying progress report...

When I actually spawnd in the North West corner...

sometimes the script has trouble finding aubury because it did not walked close enough to the shop

also sometimes it switch to a non mem world when im mining pure essence and then im mining rune essence
