McAfee : 1, Scar : 0
McAfee totally deleted my SCAR file today after running a scan.
>> Anyone know how to keep this from happening again?
Oh, and does SCARprerelease have a trojan?
Because it popped up with like 5 of them on there. >>

No it doesn't.
And McAfee shouldn't have won because it deleted them falsely.
Also, try using a different AntiVirus :).
I mean just in the battle.
The war is to come. xD
But what's a good free antivirus that won't take off scar?
I use Avira.
Alright, will try that.
Thanks. (:
Or use AVG Free version. It is great! :)
I use GNU/Linux, along with Common Sense 2009.
Don't use AVG free, it doesn't have a firewall.
Try ClamAV or Bitdefender free.
I do not use anything, running windows vista for a year, and I do download random porn files to watch.
Guess I'm just lucky, or know how to pick my random .rar'd porn files...
Brain - o.o A little too much info...
xD
But thanks for the suggestion.
I got avira, doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it. ^^
Avast!
I like it when under Windows, but otherwise it's Linux
I have a girlfriend that has been living with me for the past 2 years.... =/
not to get off topic or anything...so that scar is not a virus :p
Happened to me to.
It's just false positives.Mcafee has alot of them, and the last scan deleted like 40 of my files without giving me a choice?
Avast free version
Avast is good.
AVG is good too.
Norton is also very good.
Panda internet security is also an option.

For the free category, Avira is FTW...
For the Pay category, Kaspersky is unstoppable.
Make sure you download your scar from freddy1990.com otherwice it might contain trojans...
it's mcafee, not scar. i had the same problem
