My opinion: Don't bother on a laptop.
you can't upgrade a laptop's graphics card because it's integrated and theres no dedicated option after it's built. You'll have to upgrade a desktop you have or buy a new laptop
You can put together a Runescape killer of a desktop PC for like 300$ if you really want to. It doesn't require much. I ran scar on my 10 year old dell just fine for multiple years :p Including a 10 year old GPU
Im trying to run a GTA Iv here :D
I saw this on ebay: Here
Do you think its good, cause I have a Hp Pavilion dv6000.
Well my only option is a laptop cause I dont have 1300 dollars on me to get a Dell XPS laptop and I like Laptops for there privacy..
I have the exact same chipset as you =\
And sadly, this one cannot be upgraded. Some laptops have the option, but this chipset doesn't =\
Integrated as built into the motherboard, so no, no removing :\ Any particular reason you want GT4 on PC over a more affordable console? Doubt you can get a laptop to run GT4 as well as either of those for the price.Quote:
Shit.
We cant like remove it from the laptop or is it wielded on or something?
Well im getting a job to buy a new laptop that can run my beloved GTA 4.
Do you guys think this laptop is good? NewEgg
It looks reasonable. Any better recommendation.
Why not buy a desktop instead? That way you can play all of your favorite games and still have your laptop to take places.
^ditto.
I'm going to save $$$ for a laptop now, so when I go to college/earlier I can buy a decent laptop. I've already got a pwning desktop:
Intel DQ35JO Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 @ 2.83GHz (haven't OC'ed yet. for that I might get a new cooler)
ASUS EAH4890 1GB DDR5
4GB (2x2GB) Kingston DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM
Windows XP Service Pack 3, Media Center Edition 2005
CoD:MW2 on max specs on 1440x900 widescreen ftw :spot:
Cost a ton of cash already :p
Gaming laptops will never perform better than their desktop alternatives, and for much greater prices too. Gaming laptops cost a arm and a leg for what you get. Keep the gaming at home and use your laptop for work.
But hey, its not my money. If he wants to go ahead and buy a gaming laptop he can. He just has to remember that gaming laptops get hot, have a short battery life and are heavy. And in comparison to desktops, are weaker in every aspect. The money you spend on a gaming laptop can buy you a very very good desktop that can play games miles better.
I know they do. But the problem is they take more space in my room. My parents said no already to a desktop since we already have 2 so im only left with a laptop as an option. Im only going to be playing games on it for like 2 hours the most. The rest is just chatting, surfing, doing school work.
I also like the privacy the laptop gives you. As long as it plays gta 4, Crysis MW2, all those heavy games then it suits me fine.
1) Don't get a nvidia.
2) Don't get a "gaming laptop", it sucks and will NOT preform as well as a desktop.
My suggestion is you sell the old desktops you have, and buy a new one for about 600 dollars. AMD Phenom II x4, Radeon HD 5750 (don't listen to the crap about fans dying, mine has been used fine for months now, fan working fine; they must have installed theirs wrong). Just now throw in a decent mobo, 4 GB ddr2, and you can make yourself a decent box for a nice price. It will last at least a few years on the newest games, even DX11.
You cannot change an integrated Graphic Card unless you replace your whole motherboard.
Sell some stuff > Ebay and buy a whole new computer instead. Laptops are no good for gaming.
