The way I understand it. Once SRL 5 comes out it will only be compatible with SIMBA. So if you are wanting to use SCAR as your '#1 RS Macro Program' you will have to maintain your own include to be compatible with SCAR.

Correct me if I am wrong...

Yes, but it's mostly renaming functions to "convert" it since Simba will try to be more structured in the naming (at least from what I've been hearing, it's not certain yet). At least for now, the SMART is identical to SCAR's (although we have a Linux library for it :))

At least for now, then, SMART will be buggy and unreliable? As well, does that mean it will continue to be compatible with Scar as well as Simba?

SMART works great, it actually works much better and faster than the old version.

I don't know if they are compatible or not.

Firstly I must say Wow, Looks and seems very nice.

Secondly Simba? lol sounds to odd and weird, if people dont know what Simba the program is they will be like "wtf wrong with you".

Although when its completely done, 99% bug free. Its going to be the best Macro tool IMO.

We aren't sure. It does support forms to an extent, but we try to stay away from them as much as possible. Forms are about the only thing that can easily crash the app. (Just like you can easily crash SCAR with forms)

If you want to do some real form stuff, I suggest you code in Free Pascal (with Lazarus).
Adding an entire Form Editor would be overkill, and a bitch to make. (AFAIK Kaitnieks never paid for it either, he just used one.)

We could implement Lazarus' form editor (it's free after all!). However that would be lots of work to implement, so I might just suggest to avoid forms or create one with Delphi/Lazarus form editor.

I don't think its going to be a new community, because villavu is tied to SRL, not SCAR.

Also, I think forms are not that important. I mean, they make your script look cool and all but it just adds so much code. To me, filling in a DeclarePlayers is fine with me :p

Is this correct. When you use the Find option and search say DTM it will show every function/procedure that has something to do with DTM and will show the procedure/function when you click it?

If true does it search into the MML aswell or just the funcs/procs built into Simba?

It doesn't at the moment, but we will make it do that. The issue is the naming.

Simba doesn't have any functions! Its all the MML :)

and assuming form editor wont happen, which i dont particularly care about, Wizzup mentioned forms not being completely supported. I hope this wont be permanent as yes, forms can crash SCAR, but i cant really think of any (minus .5 instance) instances where if one's code is correct, the form will crash.

I don't even see the point of an acronym. SCAR is an acronym because SCAR itself doesn't really mean anything, whilst Simba alone means something anyways, no need for acronym.
