Hi there to protect my identity I've logged in with a proxy and would like to ask
I am a former Jagex Staff member, I was part of the macro detection system partly responsible for the death of "Auto Rune" anyways... what a fine community you all have here :)
Would you be interested in any Jagex secrets? "Lulz"?
Perhaps I can post some funny quotes from behind the scenes?

well I'll start with a specific one: Do you guys actually read any of the appeals sent in?
Now with that question we will all surely know if you are legit or not, since only a real jagex (former?) employee would know the answer, and of course, I can tell when people lie on the internet.
I could care less about all their secrets or if they look at the appeals themselves...
I want to know some of these funny behind the scenes quotes.

To accurately answer your question, Mr. Brain, I was not a part of that particular team... my job was to help with macro detection strategies, some arbitrary busy work around the office, and review player reports. I do know that ban and lock appeals get sent first through a sorting program that picks out the auto-deny/auto-accepts ones, they only account for about less than a quarter of the total though... those ones are given a certain auto-reply depending on the type and severity of the rule breaking, as well as the players prior offense history. The rest are reviewed by actual people, but the replies do not differ much at all from any other reply, they basically review the appeal and decide what action to take and what "auto-reply" message is appropriate. How else would we (former) manage the thousands of inquiries daily?Quote:
