Hey guys long time no see.
My friend wants to build a computer soon.
~$800 budget
He want to be able to run Starcraft2 on it's highest settings would be a guideline I guess you can go by.

500g hard drive or larger if budget allows for it.

well you can take this as an example
a couple of years ago
i payed £100 for a AMD Athlon 2.3 GHz Dual core
with motherboard
and 2GB RAM
and £25 for a Nvidia GeForce 9600
that is more than the recomended and that cost £125
that was about 2 years ago so you can get more for the same price, i got my graphics card from ebay and i got my motherboard bundle off novatech

Just under 700$, didn't include a case or optical drive because I think your friend has both already, if not I would get this case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119137. Personally I don't use optical drives anymore, but they are 20$ max anyway.
Yea he has a computer already, but I think he'd like all new stuff, but he could definitely use the older optical drive (Does that mean CD/DVD Drive? How do you not use that anymore wtf?)

Good luck! Be sure to shop around for coupon codes and such, not necessarily for these specific parts (The MSI video card can be replaced by some other company).
