Can some one explain to me what it is, and would any one that has the ability to do so mind removing it from my username?
Thanks

The people who have it are odd, in my opinion.. noidea and Feroc1ty are the only two that I think are odd so far. No offense to either of them, I'm just wondering what they did. :p
Apparently I have it as well.. That leads me to believe it's for Simba testers. I have no idea why any members (that were members before it was publicly announced) have it, then, though.
=/ I like it but id still like too know why we got them
They appear to have been handed out at random, I really think they should be for people who developed simba and not every single person on the forum...
I think those major contributers, the developers, and the like should have it...
perhaps its for those who have released a simba specific script?
Whats the point of that? We already have scripter's cup. IMO this cup should be for simba developers because right now it's almost everyone which is pretty pointless
The developers really don't need any specific cup to show it, imo..
I think everyone who signed up for Simba testing got it?
And it must be a work-in-progress, because the image is hosted at imageshack not villavu. And has no text for it.
It seems silly to give people a cup just because they asked for early Simba access or w/e, but okay, I have a cup now! :D
Ref came with this (kinda.. same time anyway). SRL is because it separated the developers from the leechers and scripters way back when. One would ask a dev how to fix something rather than a registered user or guest or member or whatever, but now I think that it's different. I'm a junior member and I can usually answer most questions about ref/srl/simba. The only difference between having the cup and not having the cup is the ability to commit. AFAIK, only raymond and wizzup can commit stuff to simba. And on top of that, Simba is meant to be an open-source group effort. I don't think there should be any differences between, for example, bullzeye and I just because he did more than I did. I have no idea what he did, but he's listed somewhere in Simba or something. He would (should, if it's for anyone who helped develop) get the cup. This isn't the case for SRL/ref, either. I've done stuff for SRL, same with NCDS, etc. but we aren't developers, we're junior members and members. So only big things and important devs are differentiated in SRL/ref development. I'm not sure who all has done a lot, but I know for sure that Raymond and Wizzup? are most likely the two biggest contributers to Simba. I don't think anyone doesn't know, and if they don't, they are a mod and admin (respectively). They will be asked questions anyway.
But really, I don't care. :p
Or someone screwed up..
There's already way too cups here, and they're ugly and big too. Looks terrible when people have a bunch of random images the size of an average avatar under their nick.
Most likely someone oopsed. I just woke up and I only knew we were going to add it for the ones who actively work on Simba. When I have time (later today, I'll see what has to be reverted)
E: It is currently assigned to "Simba Tester" rank; so everyone who joined in on Simba before it became public got it.
k =)
Definitely make it more rare, more of these things than pennies on the ground, and with such quantity it really brings no value as such feat should.
I love it because I adore the Simba project and what it brings...
Personally I think it should just be for Simba devs or people who were noticed for providing standout ideas or feedback. Because theres alot of people (myself included) who didn't really contribute much to Simba but still got the cup. Cups should be a "marker" to show those who have done a lot or can be contacted with ideas/support questions (as in, developers not early users) of Simba. :)
Perhaps find a more suitable cup which goes better with the others?
EDIT: Waaaaay too many people have the cup.
