I dont find the need to torrent like one song, as if it were a whole album or discography, that i would use torrents for
i only ever used frostwire and limewire because i wanted to download single individual songs. and dling the torrent file, opening it up, then it dling, is slower than just double clicking a file.
Why would you just want one song? I suppose I'm wierd that way but I will always download a whole cd, If I like a song I always want to see if I'll like more :)
Limewire Private Edition is out, but I wouldn't recommend it. At All.
I have a feeling the government is behind it, and you downloading songs off it, is a lawsuit on the way to your house. Or the FBI..
lol. People are downloading it and using it, but unless u live in another country, then i guess your Okay. But don't take my word for it...
Squancy, don't be ridiculous ;)
If I ever want a single song, I use Saver2 - it lets you rip grooveshark, pandora, and many more.
thanks for the useful link!
Although i just used demonoid to downlod 2 albums!
One of biggie smalls and one of tupac!
R.I.P. Both!!!
Haha I hope you downloaded FLAC? ;)
Just a side note on Saver2. It's awesome! While the bitrate depends on the service, I increased my library by more than 20, 000 songs legally (technically ;)). I can proudly say I no longer stream music over the internet to my computer - other than to rip more music, that is!
Technically, it isn't illegal, because the music is being legally served to you through agreements the streaming services have with the record labels. What you do with the stream when it reaches your computer is irrelevant - most people push it right out to speakers, but there's nothing legally awry if you save them it to disk.
It works as a proxy; you visit your music streaming site in a specially configured browser, and it grabs the song streams as they are loaded. It includes firefox portable, but you could also install an extension such as quickproxy to use it in your main firefox installation.
It's nice because you have a few options: use grooveshark to get specific songs, use pandora to get entire genres, use slacker to get specific artists, etc.
In addition, Saver2 comes with a no-flash pandora player that does not require a browser to play music through. Another benefit: you can download more than one stream at a time. You would be surprised how quickly you can attain music when you're ripping from four services at once! And don't forget the pandora client's turbo mode - it rips each song as soon as it is fully buffered, and then it skips to the next song. Did I mention it also removes the pandora skip limit?
That sounds pretty interesting...although im pretty happy with the selection of private torrent sites I have atm.
holy hell, Saver2 sounds awesome...
Im going to go get my grooveshark on
Learn to frostwire
frostwire is just the same as Limewire!
Its only a matter of time till they get a lawsuit!
I'm not sure about Pandora, but I know Grooveshark users upload all of the music onto Grooveshark. Personally, I wouldn't want to download music from there because that system makes it hard to control quality.
Great idea for a nice service and allows you to build a repertoire of music very quickly. Great for listening to music when you do not have access to your library - otherwise I think I will stick to other sources.
As well, I have no idea what happens to songs that are added to these services. For all I know they could be re-encoded a second time.
Dunno, but Pandora with no listening limit or ads just makes the world sparkle
