I would like to know what the best way to get members now-a-days. Its been a while since I have scripted for runescape or even well played the game, but I am going to start again and I would like to know the best way to apply for members. Would it be my own script or helping MSI or anything like that?
own script, but being more active in the community would help a lot too :)
there are even people(such as myself) that didnt even apply, and get promoted just because they are helpfull and contributing a lot, albiet to reflection, MSI, Simba, or the SRL include
Have a script that is capable of completing a task and banking or something of greater or equivalent difficulty (preferably without relying heavily on reflection) and/or wait a few years for the community to recognize you as a veteran.

Look up Nava2's guide on getting members, and meet all those requirements.
Or apply with a 700+ line pure reflection script that does something flawlessly.

If you want, traveler posted an update that allows this to be done, he put it int he SRL Public SVN recommendations, if you find it and copy it into srl/srl/core/Login.scar (I think) and replace the function, it shoudl work.Quote:

download the attachment to my reply and put it in srl/srl/core/
Then try it and it should work.
Thanks traveler you got it working. Now I can finish my script. Its getting there.
As an interesting note here, someone who relied heavily on reflection or almost completely on reflection just got 13 yes - 0 no's. 100% yes with a near reflection script. :OQuote:

Sorry if this is said, but I am sleepy so I didn't read back(fully).
I don't really vote but others (and if I would vote, than me too) likes scripts that are not the type everyone makes. I can't find the best word, but I mean rare scripts that are maybe harder to make, but the sections are not crowded with those.

You may say that those may not be used that much, now that I think about it :p. I have made an air crafter back in the day(that was a direct tip for me iirc) and you can see the result :p. I got in 100% btw, hiding in white so it doesn't seem showing off.

I've already got antiban in my script lol. And I looked at another script and he has R_FindRandoms and the beginning of his script and thats about it.
I personally use R_FindRandoms, and chuck into my Antiban procedure, called every time though.
its personal preferance how you call it, but to use antirandoms, call R_FindRandoms, or if you aren't using Reflection, FindNormalRandoms
call R_FindRandoms every once in a while (or FindNormalRandoms) throughout your script. Perhaps once immediatley after login, then at the beginning of every large procedure, and at the beginning of your loop that performs the task. That should be sufficient antirandom.Quote:
