I'll actually gain some quite a lot of interest if they reintroduce wilderness and free trade the way it originally was.

Is it possible to make a script that allows you enter all the usernames of your accounts and submits a vote using all of them? (Having realistic breaks between each submission!)

Sounds sketch, I think they're trying to make an illusion of trying to do something, just to get some of their players back before the inevitable disappointment. But if it indeed comes through will be truly awesome!

we need to make a script to parse the highscores and just grab names, and then enter them into the contest....checking "anonymous" randomly...of course all the same ip might be weird...

Could someone write a script that just goes through all the users on the runescape Highscores and votes with those names? :D

Here's my 2 pennies: If JaGeX is really going to bring back the old wilderness and free trade, I know for a fact they will upgrade their bot detection and will be able to tell if a bot is trading money to a main.

E: Also, a possible problem with making a script parse out and retrieve all the usernames and submit them is that, AFAIK, there is no way to check whether or not a username has already been submitted. Hence, if we all run the same script and submit the same usernames, several times, Jagex has an easy way to see who was cheating the votes or not.

On second note: Bot away! I don't think Jagex cares if people cheat their poll system, I think they hope and expect people to do so. Why else would they allow you to create a new account to be able to vote? Why else can any username be input without any confirmation/verification from the actual account user? Furthermore, they are encouraging people to spread the word and there isn't a "no" option on the poll either. Jagex will definitely be going through with this update IMO.

First of all google.analytics is tracking it therefore they are watching the internet trafficking of the web for this vote. This means they are tkaing the count and the age groups into consideration to whose coming into the site and how much it crashes or many other statistics.
2nd guiness world records is being set. This is by the trafficking of the web which they are watching to make a world record of the people coming into the database or some other topic so jagex is setting a world record aparently
3rd no logging in... thats just obvious that this is only for the record and trafficking becuase if this was a real poll and jagex was listening they would make you log in otherwise what i did was i officiated 30+names to get wildy back for myself and friends accounts. OBVI fake
If it was real you would log in... there wouldnt be suspicious trafficking activities and a record wouldnt be in place and it would be just totally different and a main page poll. If anything theyll tell us april fools in april that this was a complete joke and they set a record off all of us and you other people.
It does seem a bit odd how you can easily just create an account and just register your vote in under a minute
