Blah, firefox always crashed on me. Not only that it got extremely slow sometimes

Firefox is muchos more user friendly, and with tabs, it rules the world!
Have found that it crashs on certain sites, but ive found IE to be just as unstable

Firefox only crashes if I do somthing stupid so it lags and I try and exit.
I used IE when I had dile-up. God a slow internet connection is bad enough, but having IE crash everytime your doing somthing important is worse. :(
norton sucks balls..symantec works 5x better(same company...but i have corparate version).
oh yea windows sucks. opera is good too, but not as good as ff.

Mozilla Firefox all the way. Don't use Internet Explorer, it sucks and is not safe. If you don't like Firefox, then use either Opera or Avant.. :p
For me Firefox is way faster than IE, btw. Also waaaaaay more safe. I once made a mistake with IE, I entered to some noob serial site and in a second or something, my computer was full of shit. Which got installed to my computer by pop ups. It used to be always so safe with Firefox so that's why didn't knew it would do it with IE :rolleyes: I started using Firefox like 3 years ago, and there is no way back. Sometimes I have used Opera too. But IE never again. Until they make it safe to use of course. But not even then, I think.

IE is the way to go.....sure FireFox had tab's but IE will be getting them in the next update and IE has a ftp thing also so ithink IE wins overall.

The Majority of this site, and probably many others would agree. Fire Fox wins.
End of story.
Ok here we go with my reasons for why Firefox owns the shit out of Internet Explorer.
1) Internet explorer is based on windows explorer and is not very stable for cruising around the internet. People have immeadiate power to access your files and anything else they want on your computer via ie because it is VERY UNSTABLE
2) Firefox is updated weekly, has real time protection against spyware,adware and virus's. Has an inbuilt pop up blocker which stops 99.9% of pop ups. and all these features as i said before are updated weekly. Let's look at Ie for a moment. Ie gets an update what every 2 years? It has NO protection against adware, spyware, or virus's making it dependant on third party programs (Sorry sdcit but this topic was about which browser was better not which antivirus was better, without your AV you would be smashed with so much spyware if Ie didnt crash the spyware would crash you). Ie's pop up blocker sucks ass literally. I dont think I've seen it block more than three pop ups out of 100.
3) FIrefox even unconfigured through those little confusing about:config tweaks is 10 times faster than ie. In ie my max download rate is beetween 24 and 110 kb/s in mozilla i get over 500 kb/s.
4) Cpu usage wise. FIrefox is more economical. My firfox uses a little over 20,000k where as ie with the same page loaded is using 45, 536 k. (I just tested it now.)
5) FIre fox is more user friendly with an option menu which is easily read compared to Ie's scrapy one which is all over the place. It has tabs which saves you on having 20 million windows open all the time (also saves on cpu usage) and one download window which can track as many download connections as you want it to onstead of limiting you to 3. Oh and firefox actually HAS an advanced editor of about:config making it totaly customizable, so that advanced users can do even more with it. [ On a side note someone said that the next Ie update would yield tabs, this just shows that everything microsoft did'nt produce first, they copy later].
6) Firefox has a built in java generator which you can enable so that you don't have to always have that stupid JRE icon running 24/7 <3.
Thats all I can think of atm.
Oh and by the way sdcit. Norton AV really does suck ass lol. Even symatec isnt all that great. Mcaffee is the next most horrible AV but it does a better Job than norton does by around 600%. Get AVG or NOD32 they really are the best.
