Botting to 99 Range

Well blogs seem to be popular and I'm bored so I thought I would make a blog of my journey to 99 range on my f2p pure.
Botting in a secret place(not that secret) using a sling, will post some proggies when I get them :D

Starting Date: 01-05-2011

Made it to 70, now I'm going to get iron arrows and maple shortbow.

Missed a lot of proggies, but saved this one with the current level. Sticking with the sling.

It's a botting blog, not a 'for sale' thread.

I've botted 90 range successfully so far. Almost 91. Shouldn't be too hard to get 99 if your ptp.

Why sling? It's free, but slow. I think a (insert best F2P shortbow here) and iron arrows would be much faster, and they aren't very expensive at all either.

Using sling to 75, then going maple short with irons.

Why all the way till 75?! Why not switch nao?

How long did it take for 99 str and what did you do?

when I did it on my account it took probably almost a month of full on botting in the Tzhaar fight caves, starting from about level 70 str. could have been about 20-30 days maybe :s I can't really remember lol

perfs fighter used to be pretty flawless but atm its pretty buggy /offtopic

also what d you think the max xp per hour is for 53 range 45 def? icant really get past 10k

Let's just say its a place were not many pures can go.

@Bonfield - Other stats are lame, but when i get to like 75-80 range I'm going to start skilling it a bit so I can quest it. I'm honestly disappointed in Perf right now. He has been focusing on his slayer script, and not the fighter. To get max xp/hr you need to use steel arrows with a maple short, and fight something that doesn't have a large amount of people at.

Lost a long proggy because I just shut it off before screenshotting it.

btw, sling is fastest f2p range wep in rs.. thats aswer for somone that told the lsing is slow :P

Sling is not the fastest f2p range wep, it has the same speed as a shortbow, and its the weakest range weapon in game, and it has a short range. Thats the reason its not recommended above lvl 5 range.

going good mormonman :) and as kingkong says the sling is equivalent speed as a shortbow but soo soo soo much weaker. I don't think slinging to level 99 is a wise idea, it would take ages :/

I have tested the shortbow with irons, and I don't like using that much money when the sling gets only 4k less exp/hr.

fair enough, I use magic short with irons and I ended up losing like 40k iron arrows for level 70-75 :/

Things are looking good. Keep it up!
I've been doing some money wasting lately on my main because I was bored. Cannon and ice barrage at the dwarves that drop the dragon pickaxe. No luck yet, only couple handcannons/shots.

When at level 90, subscribe and do either Pest Control or kill King Lathas' ogres at Eastern Ardougne, there you'll get around 45k per hour.

F2P all the way. Many different places including minotaurs(27 and 10), Skeletons(22), Zombies(24), Corpse Mages(left here after they got ambushed by everyone), Cockaroach Workers(8), and some others I don't remember.
