Pleased the GE is staying, Hope they split the market though.. GE is regulated and if you wanna sell something on the street you can free of regulations. It'll keep prices where they belong while also allowing prices to go up and down by small percentages.
i dont think that anyone will still use the ge, unless they know for sure what the street price is.
I would sit on zybez while buying and selling stuff to keep updated on the street prices.Quote:

Ge prices will just have a "recommended" price on the item you are wishing to buy or sell. It's up to the seller or the buyer to set the price equal, greater, or less than the recommended price. prior to '07 there was no recommended price. You could go by shop prices but people would still sell items at ridiculous prices. High or low.

In the situation they are in now if they don't bring it back tons of players would become very disappointed in jagex yet again as many were when they dropped free trade and the wilderness.
Overall I think its pretty funny how FIRM and NEVER COMING BACK all of the mods and jagex in general was when they rid of it all. They realized their mistake immediately after the changes and probably decided to make themselves not look all that stupid and wait a few years so it would all cool down, and now look.. They made it seem wayyyy too easy to get it back, and now they are trying to act like they need to think it over... Jagex made up it's mind already, and I believe they are just trying to cover up their stupidity by having "discussions"...
Thats a big word for them =P

If Jagex pulls a fast one on us and decides NOT to bring old wildy/free trade back, we team up with RSbot and all the other botting sites and just flood runescape with lvl 3 botters rofl! We have the potential to make it epic! :p

Publicity and money making go hand in hand. What you and others are missing is this. By advertising the poll they generated publicity. This publicity created an increase in web site visits which:
(1) Created revenue for Jagex and the adverts featured on their sites

even if this poll is not guaranteed to bring content into Runescape. This poll gave Jagex a good number of active players.
Richard, Nothing can ever be instant.. And what hesitation do you see? They said on the 17th they will roll out the official decision. In any company you need a majority vote from the shareholders of a company. A decision like this is huge. Why do you think they had the poll? To show their shareholders that people wanted this to come back. So Richard and everyone else, relax lol. You are all worrying about this way too much. I've been playing since '99 (classic) and Jagex has never went back on their word.
I think the most interesting thing will be the stress on the GE immediately before free trade.
I got a confirmation from a couple of mods that the video is infact real. So Wilderness is coming back its just a matter of when. Will see in like 5+ hours.
