Huh. They used to do that kind of thing a while ago, but they mostly stopped.
Wow, these are the kind of people[bots] that frustrate me. Rs is being exploited like crazy, and I wish Jagex would do something about it.

He just created his acocunt, RS assigns a temp username to every account at the creation of the account. EX Player #12345.
When you assign the account a username it replaces the temp username with the one you chosen.
If you look at the bottom of the interface options, you'll see an actual name

The thing that bugs me the most is all the bots spamming gold websites at every bank. They are usually back up within ~5 minutes of every update, and they are some of the most obvious bots in the game.
How can Jagex even pretend that they care about bots or have any control at all when they have obvious bots spamming every bank in every free world 24/7/365?
^^^ true, I think Rs is now caring about business more than the game now because the economy is going nothing but down.
I have a feeling the game is going to become one of those games that you're allowed to bot if you pay the subscription.. soon
the fact of the matter is they dont seem to have any bot identifying software for the auto spammers of rs gold sites so banning manually is just rediculous.... the acounts get remade instantaneously....
no i dont think they can make a banning software to ban modded clients because identifying the modded client would raise privacy concernes and apparently its illegal...to do this theyd have to change their terms of service, and maybe make it client based as opposed to browser based so they can keep a better management of the game... but so far that ^^^^ has been more trouble that whatever theyre thinking of right now...and its only a matter of time before they realize what must be done...

They should just "stealth mute" the accounts. Make it so the accounts still see their own text, but nobody else does.
That way the spammers would have to constantly check their accounts to see if they were really broadcasting or not. It would be much harder for the gold spammers to track than just banning them outright.

I miss those days when botting/scripting/playing used to be enjoyable.
I am starting to get incredibly infuriated at the level of haters of java bots. The bots themselves are actually incredibly well made pieces of programming, it just so happens that the kind of people who use them are idiots, because it's so accessible. The people who design these java bots are very skilled programmers, I think they deserve a little more respect (besides those corrupt ones...)Quote:

I thought about this a long time ago: this is probably what Jagex is waiting for. Waiting for the player's to say "bring back the trade limit, this is getting ridiculous." I would be surprised if Jagex trying to prove a point..
I almost agree to that. To me the trade limit doesn't mean much. I don't try to sell gold or anything. But I do hate that friends can't lend me a couple mill under it. Then again, I don't play runescape, so IDC ^.^! :DQuote:

Yeh the only part I liked about rs was staking and wildy.
These bots are everywhere! Thanks to them, it is almost useless to bot in certain areas now.

Funny how JaGeX killed the game removing Wilderness, then they managed to kill it again by addming Wilderness again
The reason why I started botting and making scripts was because I enjoyed the thrill of getting past Jagex. Now that it is way to easy and the mass amount of bots out there are to make money, that thrill is gone. To me, botting is pointless now. Jagex really should crack down on botting again, not only for the fact that all those dumb bots get banned such as the ones in your picture, but so that the economy gets better again, and so that people like us can have fun again.
