I've used it on and off for quite a few months. Never had any problems/bans/hacked accounts.
What about anyone else? Has anyone ever gotten hacked and been pretty sure it was due to RSBuddy?
Just wondering because I'm planning to use it more often/with more accounts.
i haven't been banned/hacked, but the community sucks, and tbh I'm not to impressed with the scripts that I've used :p
Really? It's kind of hit and miss there, but I'd say they have a handful of solid scripts for almost every skill in my experience.Probably gonna start using a combo of RSBuddy and MSI and try to auto a lot more soon :D!
I've enjoyed my experience with RSBuddy, no issues.
there are some scripts on there that are amazing, such as idung, mta^2, and other ones, but the majority of the free scripts are completely outdated, and dont even run.

Yeah I'm just more questioning te 'safety' of the bot itself security wise I'm familiar with the quality of scripts already thanks. Keep the 'reviews' coming. Looks like I'll be using it quite a bit then!
The (2) free scripts I use work fine, and I own iDung and ArteWaterfiends which are great too.
A lot of people don't put their account info in RSBuddy, instead they log it on manually then run whatever bot. I do this.Quote:

Umm I remember having an argument with someone about them stealing accounts that use developer mode.. Like when the rsbuddy sourcecode for scripts were leaked on RSCoders.org, ppl would be able to use them in developer mode and they would IP ban you. But some users were hacked and had their accounts wiped.
Personally never happened to me.
I do never put my account information on RSbuddy. I simply do what josh does!
I've never had any problem with RSbuddy scripts. There are many good scripts for any skill.
The community isn't' the best, but scripts speaks by itself!
I've been scripting for it at the moment and I love the client itself. Java is an interesting way to learn.

They can get your login information even if you don't save it. Jagex saves your logins in a hook.Quote:

Funnily enough, I came back today because I'm posting a thread on RSBuddy about "Your First Botting Experience". SCAR would be my first. Man...remember that one Fight Caves script? Everybody used it, but the guy who made it turned out to have implemented something to steal passwords. It was later re-released without it as well. That was my favorite...

Agh I just don't understand it. Is it the fact that it uses less CPU/memory than Simba or that it has script SRL doesn't? The only value I see in RsBuddy is that dungeoneering bot, and even we have the ability make our own. Anything they have we can make...
Is that not true for ANY botting program? (EG: Whatever they have we can make). What separates them is in the how. Java itself is a very refined language, and, although I can't speak for SIMBA, it is probably much more efficient.Quote:

Also right now MSI seems to be having trouble with Daemonheim Peninsula Maples (http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=66424), which is why (right now) I am using a powerchopper from there, and I also do use it for Dung. It's just opinion/a mix for me.

I got banned for 2 weeks, lost half of my overall exp and all my money, 99.9% sure that it was RsBuddy. Was using my main though, silly me. Now SRL all the way! <3

They have some good scripts, because money is the motivator for the scripters there. Out of, let's say, 100 free scripts released, 1 happens to be awesome, and you get to use it until it goes VIP/premium. Rest of the free scripts is usually junk,for example tehre are a million miners out there, but not one of them can actually powermine properly, without looking like a bot. I don't use it much, but it is a nice alternative to simba when you can't find the script you are looking for.

I have three 99's(well, 2, i have 102 dung ;) )
I have Many other HIGH lvls. My main was trained SOLELY with RSBuddy.

Anywho, I'm one of those guys who will continue to make scripts for free. And if I see people trying to sell scripts here, I'll do my best to clone their script and release it for free.

^^Those are the 5 main I use atm. I have used other ones to get other skills up for those are my main things I am doing atm.
I only use it on my main and I got rolled back about a year ago or so and got taken down to 1400 total lvl and I am now back up to 1950+ almost 2k.
I haven't had any problems using it.

Thing with RSBuddy is because it has such a big population of people there, it's going to be targeted like RSBot was. Maybe the security of everything is suppose to be better at RSBuddy but I wouldn't put it past someone to try their hardest to hack people on there.
As far as the bot its self goes, its really good especially if you can make your own java scripts. Its fast, smooth and can multi thread.
I stick with the bots here tho as they are not as used as other script like on RSBuddy, which surely everyone does the same thing results in more suspiciousness to people and more chance of getting reported. I can change the scripts here to how I like them, so it plays how I would play. Plus I also like setting up 1 script for a whole army which RSBuddy doesn't do.
The first time I got hacked, I believed it could have just been poor password choice, same issue as what Sex did to me probably... The second time round I'm damn sure it was the bot. I had been using the developer mode for a script of my own for quite a while and didn't have an issue, started using a different runecrafter when I hit 91, and then I had been looted/password changed when I came back after holiday, just about 1 and a half weeks after first using the bot. I don't know whether I'm being paranoid, but it's possible. It's likely to be more down to the script than the bot itself, because I doubt they check for password grabbing with the number of new scripts/revisions that they get...

That is when I knew RSButty was puke, in my opinion.
I went from 1400 Total level to 1934 purley on RSBuddy.
Only have 2 accounts with 2 weeks ban becuase i literally botted them everyday for about 48 hours straight. With no breaks and it was the mining guild bot.
They were crap accounts and i was trying to get banned anyway to see if bans and rollbacks are true. Which they are.
Rsbuddy is developing fast. Almost every day or every 3 days there is a new update for the client which includes Random updates, and mouse gestures and what not.
Currently been botting 8-10 hours a day with no break at the agility course. went from 62-81 in 3 days.
i tried rsbuddy on my comp it didnt work idk why just kept on getting stuck...... and it looked like a copy of powerbot and epicbot
I just got a 2.1 day proggie with idung and stopped it myself. :)
my record is just over 3 days straight with that script.
