That's why I don't want to take that risk, although would be helpful.

u can bot safely until the NEXT UPDATE (presumebly after halloween.) after that id def stop for a week or 2 to make sure rs hasnt anything up its sleve....
lol. source: my intuition.
What's with that update? They said anything on the behind scenes? o:
Sure, modifying the client could be detected, just as many other things could be detected. The difference with bytecode injection is that it can be used to negate or circumvent any detection techniques that the client employs. The same can't be said for bots that use reflection or ones that grab data from the screen buffer. In that sense, a bot that uses bytecode injection is considerably more powerful and potentially safer than a bot that doesn't.
Well I don't know a whole lot about either of the two, like I said before that's what I know about injection. What makes reflection detectable?
I didn't claim that using reflection to access the client's data was detectable in itself; in fact, it probably isn't. What is potentially detectable is the way a bot loads the client, interacts with it, and perhaps even the fact that the bot is running at all. Bots that don't use bytecode injection are substantially more limited when it comes to addressing issues like these.
There has been some interesting discussion over at MITB about detectability and client hacking in general, if you're interested in learning more about bot development and the RS client.
For pure client hacking info, Mopar's forums are unbeatable.
