Damn it.
"running with limited functionality".
My ass and very misleading title.
People you have to realize they are a business and not a community. They have many users who purchased there bots, so of course they need to say something to keep them happy. Jacmob was in the MITB irc asking for help earlier. He also states that his bot is in limited functionality (it could basically mean the bot just loads the game). Benland100 and others have said this update is pretty rugged and it will take months to figure something out. iBot/Nexus themselves have said to not expect any updates in the near future and they are much more advanced than Rsbuddy.
Ugh...
Bro Jacmob will be GODLY if he can bot in this world:

P.S. Look at my position in QUEUE... That's just the amount of ppl trying to get in to do penguins... and distractions & diversions..
This. They're probably in about the same if not worse state as we are in, Reflection is gone and iirc they don't have any color scripts. All they probably have is what we have with SMART, being able to just load the client. I highly doubt they'll figure out how to do anything before iBot does.
funny thing is I was just reading this on rsbuddy before I came and seen it here. Should not of out that as the title tho :p misleading.
We are much better off and once all bugs are ironed out in MSI we will then have loads of scripts to chose from again, for now.
No, he was in the IRC channel talking with everyone else about the update. He doesn't expect people to rewrite his updater or fix the bot for him.
As for your comment about limited functionality, that's probably the most accurate claim that you make. When I talked with him yesterday, he was working on hooking the bare essentials to have the bot run the client properly. Given the amount of experience he has with the RS client and the progress that I saw him make yesterday, I don't think it's unfeasible to say that that event has already happened or will happen very shortly.
Regarding your other comments about the process taking months to complete and that iBot developers are "more advanced" than Jacmob, neither are true.
I reported my post to have the title changed.
TRiLeZ had 25 hooks done in a few hours. I'm working on getting a full/complete deob so we'll be able to work together. We're at the stage where there are 2 non-decompilable methods. I'm going to finish homework and hopefully work more on integration of the deobbers (currently have them spread out over two projects).
Is there any possibility that they might be tracking the use of the loader?
Bet he's working with Jagex. :stirthepot:Quote:

I just had a look at the situation of RSB and I seen this.
What do people make of it ?

Seems like hes saying that hes got it all figured out ?
Wait till it works for a day, and jagex sets off another nuke (According to jagex they have another one, prob a bluff)
Of course. If he just came out and said he can't fix RsBuddy then he'd have some serious customer issues on his hands. It'd be much easier to say the update is soon on its way, even throw out a timer just to please people, and when that timer runs out make up another excuse to buy time. Maybe something like "before we could launch a public release, Jagex changed the client again, blah blah blah". It's easy to say anything when you have nothing to show for.
You forgot the according to Eric part. To take information being spread around in private is definitely playing with fire. Let the events unfold.
Anyways, I'm sure Jacmob has a general time frame and is more than capable of updating. Given what I know about him, I'm sure he'll be able to adhere generally to the timer. Obviously there will be issues that show up that aren't predicted. Its certainly a possibility that he will not update when the timer hits 0 and theres a possibility that he will. If Eric is right, then RSBuddy will not update. We'll see in a few days time.
Eric Snellman.
Aka ruler
I doubt that those bots will be back up within the timer...Yeah, it's probably just to pacify the payin' customers. If they do get them back up within that time, it'd be a miracle.
It'll be fun to see how everyone reacts when the countdown ends.
I personally don't know enough of how the client works to make an educated statement, but pyroryan seems to think Jacmob can do it? Regardless, waiting is the best way to find out.
Do not want to be in the skin of Jacmob. The entire community of bots paid (RSBuddy) depends on him. At this point, Jacmob must have an enormous pressure on his shoulders.
He only has two choices: either to solve the problem of RSbuddy or will have a rage community upon him. And that mightcomplicate things.
A wise thing would be, if he can not fix the problem, he should return the money and end with RSbuddy. Giving false hopes won't take him anywhere. He'll just get some more time. I wish him the best, thought.
If he doesn't fix the problem, people might start demanding their money. Just though, nothing more else.
