Am I crazy?

About 7 hours ago, at 4 ~ 5 in the morning for me, I saw a shadowy figure pass behind the couch that is behind me, "Walking" towards the room that I sleep in. It is being worked on right now so I figured it was one of my family members going to see the room or change the temperature of the house, but I checked with them 5 minutes after I saw the figure, none of them were back there recently.
So I passed it off as nothing for a while until I got to thinking about the figure. The figure stood at about 6'4" ~ 6'5", an obvious male due to the size of the figure.
Then I remembered that while I was texting someone as I laid on the couch, I heard a sarcastic "Heh." right next to me, as if someone was staring at the screen and reading what I was telling them. I looked at my little brother who was next to me, he was busy with something else and the "Heh." came from a male who has a deep voice. He was also not close enough for the "Heh." to be right in my ear almost.

Am I crazy?

That's why I don't do shrooms.

Okay well, go around the house look under everything (the beds etc), check all the rooms. I'm sure you wont find anything. It's just that sometimes if you stay up late if you are sleepy you may start feeling things. Especially @ night.

Sometimes if you smoke weed you start feeling anxious and you start jumping at everything and you may see things...

Nothing at all like that. I haven't touched any drugs before and I don't really plan to. I'm also adamant against prescription medicine for even something as tedious as a fever.

Yeah, I did that. Just to make sure it wasn't someone trying to rob the house. But there was nothing. Also as I've said, I do not do any drugs of any kind. Legal or not.

Where do you live? City, or in a rural area? I know this may sound personal but what exactly did you do the night before? Any partying, movies etc?

Hm. Well I wouldn't worry too much, really. Humans quite often can hallucinate quite easily (look at all the religious folk out there! ;)), and that's why there are so many shows on TV that are certain they see ghosts, aliens, and the like. I wouldn't say all of them are 'crazy,' they just hallucinate. (Some of them definitely are mentally ill, though.)

I'd keep a log, tbh. Doesn't need to be too formal if you're not comfortable with it, just write some notes down on your phone or in a text file or anything. Try to sleep on a good cycle and not to stay up for too long (I sometimes goes days without sleeping and hallucinate quite heavily sometimes). If things continue to stay the same or get worse, you should talk to your primary physician.

You're not crazy. It is possible that certain people see another being, shadow, noise, something like that. That might happen to you another time.
I'm saying this because my dad already seen 'those guys' you're talking about.

But really, anxiety won't help, but completely denying it can be bad, if you actually do have some sort of mental illness.

I live in a rural area about 7 ~ 10 miles from a city. It's in the country part of the state I live in.

I went out to shop for some things for my room for the past two days and work on my room to get it finished finally. I haven't watched anything in over a week or two and I haven't partied in months.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. I'm sort of used to the whole shadow figure thing but this time it just bothered me because I could see it "Walking" to the area of my room. Which I've seen a shadow figure pass by before when I was in my room, on the reflection of the doorknob.

If anything it just helps to get my little event off of my chest and told to others.

I believe, and unless I have a first hand experience showing me otherwise, will ALWAYS believe that half of the things doctors diagnose you with are COMPLETE BULLSHIT.
Like ADD or ADHD. Who the fuck wants to pay attention in school. NO ONE.
Don't drug the kid... I had the WORST attention deficit disorder EVER(Ask my teacher, fuck I didn't do ANY{seriously, none. In my state the legal age you MUST start school is 8} school till i was 9 ALMOST 10)...
I found my own way of learning and got accepted to college 2 months after i turned 14...

its alot easier to throw pills at someone who has supposed ADD/ADDHD than it is to actualy sort the problem out.

Nowhere did I say he should be prescribed anything by a doctor, not that he shouldn't.

ADHD (ADD isn't a thing) is a real medical condition. It's just misdiagnosed like mad because so many kids want drugs for free/cheap, and it's a relatively nice drug to enjoy recreationally.

School is stupid, and using it to determine if someone has ADHD/ADHD-PI/whatever is absolute nonsense. I don't care to explain why doctors are so keen on prescribing meds, but it makes complete sense if you know what's going on in the medical world (which I think I can at least partially talk about since I dealt with it for work quite a bit). It's sad, but it's what happens because the world is fucked.

Anyway, offtopic. If a legitimate doctor is to evaluate someone to see if they have a mental illness, you'd have to be a bit of an idiot to not at least listen to them. If you don't trust them, do something logical and get evaluated by more than one doctor.

And just for the record, I dislike most prescription drugs and think almost anything can be treated in a much better way. And doing research and filling yourself with knowledge with what you may be worried about can often help any hallucinations/anxiety, so I'd recommend doing that.

All in all, I KNOW people don't all have the same brain capability/attention span/etc...

No, ADD isn't a real medical condition. It's ADHD-PI (not a coincidence I put that in there), Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder - Predominantly Inattentive, to be accurate, which I think is a bit important when dealing with the whole medical field..

And I'd say ADHD was a much more rare mutation with early hominids, and they were some of the few people who REALLY had it. To have ADHD several thousands years ago would mean you'd be killed making a mistake by not being able to focus on the task at hand.

Same thing happend to me, It was late night and the phone rang around 5 am. I said, who the fuck is calling me now? I get up to get the phone and no ones there, i call back the number no one picks up. Right when i'm walking back i see a shadowey figure walking upstairs, I thought it might be my dad, but he was Sleeping the whole time in his room.
