Does God exist?

Yes, God does exist. You cannot deny that (without making yourself look stupid).

But does he exist in any other way than an imagination in the human brain?

In other words; Is he 'something' that's in all of the universes atoms, electrons and all other matter or a 'force' in the same way i.e gravity is a force?

This is the way I look at God: God existence is just like Money's existence; Without humans to think (believe) there is any value in it or to it, it would not exist. Imagine a human born without any knowledge to human or earth's history; Would a concept like "God" exist? I think not.

Why are there no other animals than humans that praise something "higher" or believe in God?
The only (intelligent) answer I can think of is because they have no knowledge of anything named "God" or anything that can be looked at as "God", and therefore God does not exist for them.


God is merely the belief of God, just as Money is merely the belief of Money.

I say yes God exists.. Think about this.. If God never existed, a human would have invented one by now. As for animals not believing.. They have a lower intelligence that we do.. U cannot tell hat an animal thinks thus leave that out of the argument..

God exists. I believe so. I've never seen him, yes. But I do believe that somewhere, above our heads, there's someone watching us !

The sun was considered to be God, once upon a time. It provided us with light, warmth, made living possible, growing crops possible, it ruled our schedule by telling us when to wake and when to sleep. The sun is and was in a way the main provider of life... along with water.

Why was it considered God? Perhaps because whatever is bigger than us is Godly. Perhaps because we depend on it, it is Godly.

And as such, the sun is a higher force, just like money, because it rules many things. And if we were to define a highest force? Well, God.

Anything can be made a "God", it's all about belief. Is there a higher power? I don't know, this world is full of mysteries that may never be solved.

Science has "proven"* that matter cannot be invented from nothing.

Therefore, I personally believe, that science has proven there MUST be a higher power.

*Don't bitch at me cause i said prove. I know science can't prove something. But it sure as hell can provide all the evidence and until someone show's me that they can create matter with nothing I'm going to assume matter cannot be invented from nothing

Then where did this higher power come from?

God is a term we use to justify what we do not comprehend or understand. Don't get me wrong, I believe that there is a God. I believe that God is always there for us when we need him.

But God is just a belief. We, as Human Kind, have changed the meaning of God multiple times for our own justification.

Also another aspect is Something can be made in to nothing. Aka AntiMatter. Those are all theories set forth by science but they are not proven. Just because we can't see something does mean its not their.

We feel he wind, we breathe the air, we smell different scents, but that doesn't mean its not there. I am a believer in God and no matter what science tells me, my faith will be my guidance.

There is definitely a God. I laugh at people who don't think there's a God, and instead remain loyal, possibly unknowingly, to their belief of self-creation.

How can you be so certain? God is a belief, which hasn't been proven or dis-proven.

Because here I am old boy. I didn't just *poof* out of the middle of no where. To me, anyone or things existence is certain proof. Plus, there's lots of biblical evidence for it ;), among an infinite number of minuscule things that add up into everything.

Even those who don't believe have an image of God, so one could say that God exists beyond belief..

But I think you're actually asking if there's any manifestation of God. I guess God exists in people's speech and communities. If the churches aren't a manifestation of God, then whose manifestation are they?

Just because they exist doesn't mean God made them. God didn't make cars, humans made them. We, as a species, evolved into who we are today.

What is your biblical evidence? I haven't seen any, from anyone, since you have to believe in God for the Bible to be true.

Ya, I forgot, you made them - along with everything else in this universe. You think (that's a keyword you missed out), that we evolved into what we are. You think we evolved from some bacteria, into an ape, and into a human - but that's not proven either. I think God created Adam and Eve, and the whole Bible is biblical evidence with Jesus doing various miracles. You cannot deny that Jesus existed, and tbh, you just have to connect a few dots (that should have been already connected). You instead are trying to connect some dots that are out of the page's border, and mistake ink spots for dots.

Science has absolutely not proven the bigbang theory.. they're trying to tell me that out of no where, some explosion happened.. Firstly, that theory is based on the theory that the universe is expanding everyday.. thus if something expands, it must have a point where it all started.. Problem with that is that no one know what nothing looks like.. thus we cannot say that the big bang happened from "Nothing"..

You think that a God created Adam and Eve. You think the Bible is evidence. I can deny Jesus' existence, because it hasn't been proven. All we have to go on is the Bible, which you have to believe in, to accept Jesus' existence.

@Camo Developer, that stalemate is called an "argument to ignorance," it's a fallacy. I think it is fully plausible that what happened to the Sumerians (Who can be credited for religion) was similar to Hernan Cortez's landing in Mexico. I'm not saying this as what I believe or a fact, but take out all the nouns and pronouns in the bible. You have a being not from earth coming down from the sky in a vehicle spouting flames with superior knowledge. And then with Enoch, you have the story of him going up into one of these "vehicles" and then coming back with knowledge of how to farm and other things to progress society. This is called Ancient Astronaut theory, I'm sure some of you have heard of it, and although some stuff it explains is a little far-fetched, it is definitely a notion to keep in mind. If an alien landed in your backyard and told you it was god would you believe it?

You missed the point. You said the Big Bang Theory hasn't been proven, and I said neither has God. So, going on those two outcomes, we came from nothing. Logistically speaking.

I personally believe there is a God, but no one will every be able to prove it. The idea with religion is to have faith, which means believing when there is no concrete evidence. Nobody will ever be able to prove whether God exists or doesn't.

Evolution occures when DNA mutates, and is carried on through natural selection, what we now know as a chicken came from an egg that was layed by a different(not a chicken), but extremely simmilar species

Why? Do you know for a fact that God created you? Not using your belief, but actual physical fact that can be shared with people of other religions, that doesn't make them believe in something to understand.

It is a fact that Jesus is a real person. It is also a fact that the whole universe did not suddenly appear like a magic trick. I think it's funny that you don't believe in God's existence, yet you believe that you evolved from a microscopic bacteria into the most intelligent (questionable in your case) and able animals on Earth. I think you would believe anything as long as it was not God (superiority complex?).

The whole universe didn't just appear out of no where, it has expanded and grown to what we know today.

It's called evolution, you evolve into better species based on learned skills and knowledge. The best of the species survive, the worst die off, that keeps the species moving forward.

Also, you're putting words in my mouth. I believe in many things, science being one of them. Since you can have actual, testable facts, unlike the Bible which is not fact. I don't have a superiority complex, just because I believe in other things and have an open mind doesn't mean that. Stop trying to twist my words around.

I personally don't believe in god but I don't deny it either.

I personally believe that there has always been something. I believe there might have been big bang but before that.. who knows. There might have been infinite amount of big bangs before the last one.

Big bang in finnish language is "Alkuräjähdys" = "The outset explosion" or something like that. It's annoying me that it's translated like that.

There's hundreds of accounts. You'll find that Pontius Pilate was a real person, that the apostles were, pretty much everyone in the Bible can be historically proven to be a real person. Look up "Jesus" on Wikipedia and you'll find all the proof that you need - 1000's of credible sources proving that he was, etc (I've already done this). It's expanded...great. So instead of just focusing on Earth, you want to go to the whole universe (which human's have barely managed to explore the fringes of) - yet you think that the planets came from no where (or maybe they evolved some a bacteria - Aha!) - the line is endless - and evolution can only explain a miniscule fraction of all creation.

However, I will assure you that the planets, the sun, etc, did not evolve from a bacteria that crawled out from the sea, or any bacteria for that matter. And btw, science is not final. Hundreds of theories that people took for granted as so-called facts have been proven as wrong. For proof, here you go.

I wonder how the earth and universe was made from the "bigbang" if it clearly says in "science" that something cannot come from nothing.. In a religious view, god was Always there, so he never came from anything, but is something, if you can understand that. You probably can't since even the smartest human only knows 7-12% there is to know about Anything on earth. I personally, have 2 ex-atheist friends. They both didn't believe in god, yet one of them told me that he always argued with religious folks over religion, because he wanted to get away from it, it was as if the idea of god was pulling him toward "god". Eventually, about 3 months ago he converted and became a christian, telling me that he felt very relieved and happy because there was something more to life, something to believe in. Faith and belief are two very important factors in our lives.. If we never believed in something or someone, I assure you, you would not be here today, as belief goes into another key factor which is Hope. I am a christian, even though my mother and father didn't put emphasis on religion, saying prayers etc. I feel as though believing in anything, anything at all gives you greater understand about life as a whole.
Science and religion both intertwine and share qualities, kind of like Muslims and Jews, Palestine and Israel. Both argue, but are very similar. Think about it, if you believed in god etc, wouldn't this be all in someone's plan? To make people wander away and disagree, not believe in god? Wouldn't a mastermind deceiver want this to happen? Want people to turn away from god etc.. Believing in something is better than nothing.. Same as doing something with your life is better than nothing etc.

Even if you don't believe in god, Jesus and Muhammad were the two Most influential, greatest people in History. Those two people shaped the earth. Try to think about a world without the bible, or ten commandments to guide people into making the Right decisions.. Compare the ten commandments to Hammurabi Code. The commandments gave rules, and the only punishment was not having protection etc from god. Hammurabi who was not a monotheistic person made a set of rules in which almost every punishment was death or mutilation.. Besides, if I wasn't a christian,didn't believe in a higher being, I wouldn't care what I did on earth, since of course it doesn't' really matter right, as we all turn into dust afterwards with no afterlife to expect.. No.. I wonder why some atheists etc Fear death, fear losing their jobs, fear hurting others.. If there is no god, then why not just do whatever Pleases you? Since of course there is no real punishment for it after you die.. Smh.

The thing is, it's hard for people to "just have faith". We want to know HOW the universe works, and how we were created. "Just having faith" isn't good enough

When I was younger and more influenced by my orthodox romanian parents (who were fairly religious in terms of going to church and such...) I bought the whole 'God' thing. Now, in today's day... We are breaking apart the bible and reading it/critiquing it as if it is a technical paper(not saying that this shouldn't happen but in my opinion, science overrules religion nowdays, so critiques are bound to happen.)

There's nobody out there that has these 'Ub3r' powers which we all dream of having. I find it a harder to prove that God actually exists than reasons to prove against the existence, or pre-existence of God. Not to mention popular theories such as the big bang theory which evidently proves that a colossal explosion was the inevitable creation of our solar system, and maybe even universe.

TL;DR : Science > Religion
