My belief is that if we are linked to a higher dimension natural selection would have evolved us to interface/sense/conceptualise in that dimension in some way.
Because we can't, I assume that anything that happens in that dimension is of no concequence to our existence.
I can't reason why it would have any more consequence when the physical neuropathways that give structure to our consciousness have begun to decay and dissappear after electrical braindeath (people have been know to revive from close to electrical braindeath).
Personally I try to not think about it. It is after all the last surprise of my life.
Hopefully in 30 years time we'll be able to obtain robocop mode with artificial body parts.
this cant be true because what happens if everyone on earth dies? No more afterlife then what? So afterlife only exist if something on earth is alive?
I think when you die you just see black but i also think a lot of other things...what if this is the afterlife or what if this is hell or heaven you dont know do you? (i dont think its heaven tho :) )
If so I hope that the software on the computers, that will translate the brainwaves to the body functions, are better than now a days operating systems. It would be a shame that, when you try to scratch your robot butt with your robot arm, you will get an "You don't got permission to scratch your butt" error. Maybe some sort of open source solution... or a simba plugin.
But the elderly are experiencing many brain malfunctions too. Just replacing the physical body will not solve the Alzheimer syndrome or any other of the mental issues they suffer from.
Person who write the bible was probably trippin'
I believe when we die, we're born again into some other form.
The light people say they see in near death experiences i beleive is you being born again.
I am not religeous, and just my simple opinion.
You right, but what form that would be depend of our this life.
there 8400000 forms of life in universe:
900K - inhabitants of water,
2 000 000 are immobile living creatures(trees and plants),
1 100 000 are insects and reptiles,
1 000 000 of birds,
3 000 000 are animals,
400 000 are human types of life.
thats exactly what i mean, i dont necessarily mean a human form, i think we're born again into some other form =]
idk what happends but if i die i want to be a runescape player maxed cash maxed stats :D
''no i'm jking'' :/
What was before you were born?
The problem with this perspective is that most people don't remember when they were 3-4 years old. Obviously you were alive then. I'm not saying this thought is "wrong", just that we could have been alive before we were "born".
I was raised Christian so I believe that Heaven exists. As some have said before, I would rather believe in something that is wrong, than to not believe in something that is right. I've never been to Heaven, so I don't have the evidence to support it, however that is my belief.
There is no way to know what is true and what is not true; Plato. According to Socrates we are just to go on, and this/life was just a mere blimp in our true purpose (Unknown) we are supposed to join with our spirit and become one again.
I don't think ANYONE can make a true statement about what happens after death, maybe we hit up heaven and be with God. Perhaps our spirit depending on our actions during our time at earth, transforms into a new being (Animal/etc.). Who knows, we will all find out one day though.. unfortunately we can't relay it back.
i believe we are reincarnated. I was brought up in the hindu faith, but iv made my own decisions on it. instead i only pray to keep my mum happy and stick to certain rules because i was brought up in that manner. although i have drifted away from the idea of god, i believe that we are reincarnated, some people are born and can remember traits and memories of how their life was. As all things in nature go, sometimes there are abnormal incidents such as remembering your past life. As there is proof to this, and not just that it's been written somewhere that reincarnation is real.
There is a whole book that says god is real, (I am christian).
There is a whole book that says Muhammad is God's son
Whole book that says Jesus never did roam the world and we are living a fallacy (Jewish bible doesn't contain new testament)
I really don't think we can trust "writings", we can trust our personal morals and find out what happens at the end when it happens.
my perspective in this type of question is more of why worry about this type of thing, just live life to your fullest extent. But on the other hand, i do beleive there is an afterlife just not being 'reincarnated.'
They are very good guessers!! Actually there are numerous explanations for any "miracles" in the Bible. The virgin Mary giving birth to Jesus? Artificial insemination is one. Jesus turning water into wine? We can turn mercury into gold... come on...
God creating Eve from Adam? If God made Adam like the creation story goes, he would have one set of DNA and taking the rib from Adam would give Eve the exact same DNA as Adam. Their offspring (if they were functional at all due to the exact same chromosomes) they would look exactly alike. And so would their offspring. And so on. See there are too many genetic variations to have come from just one set of DNA examples are hair color height eye color and skin colour just to name a few off the top of my head. Also the Bible isn't credible at all really. Anyone can write something and pass it off as the truth. Every read the Bible? Jesus fasted for 40 days. Jonah in the belly of the whale... everything that has to due with a length of time is 40 days, weeks, months, or years! This is the end of my rant. Thanks!
To everyone asking me what happen after I die, I say: The same thing that happened before I was born. Void, nothing.
When you die, nothing happens you just dissapear. It's like eska said. Sadly but true :/
When you die we stop exist, when we live we are conscious of whats happening around us. Death is one of those things and since we know so little about we are afraid of it theres nothing after death, your body will become parts to other things on the earth, our ''reality'' exist only cuz our conscious makes us believe it. When we die we loose our conscious, and we simply stop exist.
When we die, we spawn in Lumbridge, Edgeville or at Lunar Island ^.^~
Guys Guys Guys... You are all wrong! When you die, I come to your body, take your soul and torture you till you break and become my slaves for all eternity!!!!!!
Now... Where is Wizzup?
I'd like to believe that we are reincarnated... No one can know for sure what happens, but it seems like staying in heaven would get kinda boring after a few million years... We need a little real life grime. >:)
Also, I have always wondered about the Christian faith... If Satan hates God... And someone who dies also hates God... Why would they be punished in hell? Won't they be kinda chill with Satan?
Nothing happens or we do have this 'soul' thing and that'll go somewhere but not something id worry or think about
Tbh I grew up in a religious family, but for some reason I don't believe there is a after life, I feel like we get reincarnated (or born into a new family) without remembering anything about our past lives.
Maybe you Re-spawn as a baby once again but without knowing anything about your past. (Runescape Style) lol.
We will rot
i doubt anyone here knows the real answer
you should ask zaros
I think the monks are pretty spot on about something as said above..
