How To Auto Properly For Dummies

Many people don't know how to auto rightfully,in this tutorial,i am gonna teach you the most efficient way to auto with reducing the chances of getting banned.
First of all,i guess you have
SCAR and
SRL plugin already if you are reading this guide,if you don't have
SCAR then don't read this tutorial.
1.Familiarising with SCAR
First of all,you would want to open SCAR by double-clicking on it's icon.
Scar window should appear.
First of all,click the Tools button and remove the 'Silent Mouse' checkmark.
Here what the tool bar with images does,all what you will need to use scar scripts is in this bar:

http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/7954/debugln6.png:Those buttons control the debug/report(the big one is debug and the little one is report) boxes under the screen,use the first button to clear the debug box,use the 2nd button to toggle the report box on/off,and the 3rd make SCAR news appear in the debug box.

Go download it and open it on SCAR,you should always READ THE INSTRUCTIONS on the script page before downloading the script to know how it work,when you will open the essense miner,this script should appear:
It may look big at first but don't panic,scroll down to line 38 of the script and you will see this:
This is a player form you must complete,in most of the scripts you will need to complete that,here is an example of a complete player form:

Name:Your runescape username
Pass:Your runescape password
Nick:The 3 letters that follow the first letter of your runescape username
String1:Your bank pin(if you have one)
Boolean1:Your character got a pick equipped?
Set it like that for each form(0 to 5),you can use more then one account(Each account need to have fulfilled rune mysteries quest!!!)to fill the forms(After a set time,the current account will logout to login with the next one).
When you are done,scroll to line 13 of the script,you should see something like this:

The only thing you should touch is Loads since all the rest is all right.Let's make some maths,5 minutes per loadsX10 loads=50 minutes,this is way to much for continous autoing,you would catch up with a teleport random(like evil bob) and it would crash SCAR,i would suggest reducing the time(you get less chance of having randoms,you usually get one random in 30 minutes of autoing) to 15 minutes like this(reduce Loads to 3):

Now your RuneScape character should log-out after 3 loads of rune essense and log-in with the next set character(If it's the same,it will relog with the same).
Now we are going into business,we are gonna make SCAR work,go on runescape,when it comes to select the quality,select java unassigned and click the low quality button under,like on the screen below:
Select a low crowded server and enter runescape.
Make sure all the accounts you used to complete the players form are in varrock east bank and got a pickaxe(equipped or not),this is where the script initialise.
Now drag the http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/3...osshairgn0.png into runescape game until you see a screen shrinking around the game.
Then click the PLAY button on SCAR,now the scar window should minimise and you should see the runescape window,if you did well the tutorial,your runescape character should log-out using the mouse,enter the account entered in player form [0],go to runeshop,teleport from aubury,mine rune essense,teleport back and go put it in the bank,then restart the process.
If it did all of these actions,you suceed in making a SCAR script working effeciently.
3.Precautions to take!
You can have many precautions so you don't get banned
Never use a level 3 character to auto,it will get banned,never use a level 80 either,try to use a character that is level 10-70.
Don't wear lame clothes(level 3 basic clothes).
Always use Unsigned JAVA with low quality when autoing.
Try to use multiple accounts to auto.
Never let a script running more then 15 minutes without switching of account(or log-out and in).
And lastly,don't scream on the rooftops you got a auto program,you would get banned nearly instantly :f:

Great title attracted me right off! Yes, very fundamental but that's exactly what this auto/scripting noob needed. And you did it in such a way that I didn't feel like an absolute moron. Your sensitivity to the confusion and often overwhelming feelings of stupidity that cause so many noobs to appear retarded and whine in desperation, you offered a constructive solution; easily understood knowledge. Exault!
The first time I read your tut, however, and read "...if you don't have SCAR, then don't read this tutorial" I thought "Hmm, guess what I really needed was "Autoing for Morons, Imbeciles or Retards....." Perhaps you could direct your students to other good tuts available on these forums like "How to Download SCAR/SRL" (if that's allowed) or simply say "don't read this tutorial until you've read...." Just a suggestion so that the tone of the beginning of your tut can be as positive as the rest of it.
Again, I applaud your work! I've got 8 happy little ess miners and my mind is whirling with ideas for my first script.:D
