Ik, I agree with you AND Goku.
I remember making the same mistakes, it just kind of touched me.

I can see why keepbotting is mad at you, you plagiarised. You probably plagiarised because his script works so nice, but when you modified without permission AND posted on SRL forums- you probably crossed the line. A lot of members have called you out on this, just apologize and get it over with.
+ have the thread removed by a mod.
Yes i modified it. I didn't release it as i was asking a question. So its not plagiarism. Plagiarism is taking his script and posting it in the Woodcutting forum section and claiming it as your own. WHICH I NEVER CLAIMED IT WAS MINE AND STILL DON'T. People were putting words in my mouth claiming that i stole the script when in fact i was trying to learn from it. I never crossed a line as it was a question with no ill intent
I agree with Sin, you guys are overreacting:
- A noob (no offence) join this forum and tries to learn how to script.
- He find an example (aka the script of someone else) and tries to modify it to make it work like he want.
- He can't make it work.
- He ask for help, but post in the wrong forum.
- Sh*tstorm begin.
He's trying to learn. I too did that to learn how things work. Copy paste some function see how they work.. what happen when you remove that line.. or add that instead, change that number, add a variable etc.
Just relax.
Someone should just close this flame-war of a thread tbh.
It was dead, you revived it.
On topic, I believe that people should be allowed to "steal" other peoples scripts and use the functions, BUT they should give people credit. Main way to learn things is to have examples shown for you right? Like sin said, Killing the sapling before it grows.
Use someone else's code, Change it around, but still give them credit.
