"Update ERROR: Didn't recieve any data from Update URL"

On a fresh install, a forced update of anything results in something similar to:

My ISP requires that I use their proxy server, perhaps Simba is not taking this into account?
Before you suggest it, I have already tried manually downloading the files, but this only leads to further problems.

Simba does not talk to proxy servers currently. Somewhere in some place there is support for them, but it isn't implemented.
Downloading the files manually should work though, if you can extract them. In the case of SRL: be sure to move the plugins to the Simba plugins folder. Besides that there shouldn't relaly be any problems. Mind sharing your problems so we help you solve it?

edit: might try this. Replace extensions/updater.sei with this, be sure to fill in the relevant constants at top of the file

Well some of the update URLs are quite obvious, as they are added to the console when it attempts to update, but I know I'm missing out on some important files.

So it seems I'm missing a plugin, infact, my plugin directory is empty...
Read through some of the sources at C:\Simba\Extensions\srl.sex and I downloaded the plugins, fixed my SPS' path and now the MSI window is displayed.
You could call this "resolved", but it doesn't feel right; I know I could have missed something :l

My apologies, that part of your post was added with your edit, and wasn't made clear, so I missed it. I will attempt this now.

Na didn't test it at all. Looks like those functions aren't exported to plugins (they are to scripts). I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

I give up; I downloaded a program to force applications to use a proxy, and Simba crashses and throws an error.

I'll just get a friend to install and update it in a sandbox, but I wish there was a better method :/
