I say no, because that is a good method of making money. I don't want gold ores to crash, personally.

Votes yes but I think polls like this have no real meaning.

As the developer you should already know whether you want it public or not. I'm sure theres no reasoning that any1 can give that you wont already have thought of.

That's the point, I'm trying to see if anyone can give me any reasons I haven't thought of so I can make the right choice on releasing a script.

There is already a free lrc miner without banking and banking = money.

The question is do you want ore prices to crash. If yes then release to public, if no then don't.

Someone has already released a living rock cavern gold miner which banks and it works very well. However I feel that it should not be available to general public. Then again we used to have a srl junior members section where it might be more suitable.... but ultimately i feel like it should be private or srl members.

Make it and keep it private or something, you can use the gold ore with gold gaunts and superheat to 99 mage and smithing in a week :)

I voted no. It gives us inexperienced scripters chance to learn how to add banking (i havent even started to look on how to script yet >.<) and it would keep the prices to a high :)

And if there is already one released that's public, I don't really see a reason to release another one.

Banking is not hard to add yourself with simple SPS walking.
There is already a major bot problem in the LRC and the more publicly available scripts there are, the more of an issue we are going to have using it ourselves.

Id say no need to release another.

Its the same with Frost Dragon scripts mate.

People kept on saying that every script people add will bring down the prices of Frost dragon bones even furthur. Many people took down their frost dragon scripts too. But did it make a difference?

I dont mind any of the choices. Its upto you. But think this through. Injection is back. LRC botting is obviously back, by the increase in bots in the LRC over the past month. I have personally used a flawless LRC script on rarebot too.

What im trying to say is, no matter what your decision is, the prices will crash eventually, you cant stop that. Im sure there are people who are members on Simba and will still will exploit the script for goldfarming purposes, but rest assured it would be abused a lot more in public.

So whatever, your decision i respect that, but i personally voted for it to be public, because i like Simba more than Rarebot, and would like to be able to use a gold mining script on here, rather than going to that bot.

+ i know members are gonna rage at me( and you have the right to. I am a leecher, i cant do anything about it because i get spare time only on sundays, which i use to play RS legit with my clan and enjoy the game..pvm,pking etc. Lvling up is all done by botting) but even though the "public" class is given a lot of choices in scripts, many of them have anti-leeches attached to them, which renders them useless to me and many other members.

Don't release at all keep to itself otherwise prices will droP

Don't make a public LRC script that banks because that will greatly piss off legit miners who actually put effort to mining 30+ hours which is tedious work. Legits should be rewarded with making money while we should just be happy with getting XP. I consider myself a leecher, but I would say no. I suggest you make one for mining coal(Dropping of course) because there's already one for gold which drops.

Exactly this. It'd be in everyone's best interests to not release it.

If you made the poll public, I'd bet it'd show most people voting for yes don't know how to script at all / don't care at all about the RS economy. It's nice to see some non-scripters here encouraging it remain private :)

Ore prices haven't really changed significantly since the bot nuke, gold ores have gone up from around 230-250 to 250-330.
Coal always changes, anywhere between 170-350, since the bot nuke somewhere more between 220-280.
(My referral to the bot nuke is because for a short while there were no bots and prices stabilised since then, then taking into consideration the re-introduction of bots in places such as the lrc for mining)
^ Also this is why I vote yes, because if it's a successful bot you'll get recognition and help many players gain xp in a generally boring skill (which will lead to you being liked and more likely of receiving donations for your work)

Another reason people don't want a bot like this is 'it's good money', it's about 400-500k/h max? If you think this is good money then you really need to learn what real money is, there are methods out there that can make 800k, 1m, and more, with hardly any effort.

Injection is very limited, it won't be around much longer ;) Price won't crash eventually, if people take the proper steps to keep the economy healthy, then everyone prospers.

My LRC script does exactly this. It makes a large amount of exp/hr. But it doesn't bank.

Think about all the legits who spend hours mining for money. It's "only" 400k/hr, now imagine how angry you'd be if you were a legit who now can only earn 100k/hr because someone is ruining your money making method because they're a greedy botter.

We're about earning exp and blending in with humans, not ruining the game for them.

Yes because 99 mine is a awful skill to do legitly in my opinion, LRC is very good exp, its fast and you can also make a little bit of gold from it.

What if the price drops, then it's almost no money, and it isn't fair to the legit players. It also takes a sense of accomplishment away for getting that last level yourself. I know I'm currently four levels away from 99 mining, and I intend to get them legitly, just for the pure sense of satisfaction that you get. It doesn't have to be awful, just spend the time mining with friends or something. I don't want the prices to drop, so it's about how big the Simba community is that would be using it.

members dont ever want stuff released to the public for their own selfishness. its true i cant script yet im trying but i have difficulties learning new things. im still trying. besides why not release since there are other free ones out there. i wont be using this regardless since i have 99 anyways just voting yes. cause members need to stfu and stop being greedy

This is quite true, all the good scripts are in the SRL members section. I think you need to share a little more- so my vote is yes.

How are we selfish? We actually care for the game, and don't intentionally ruin it. We want to run along side the legits, blend in, not stand out.

If someone decides to release one, then that's fine, nothing we can do. Is not wanting to ruin the game greedy? No.

Yes, we have some good scripts in there, but that's not the reason to become a Member, or get upset because you can't access them. There are PLENTY of great scripts out in the public, that are used on a daily basis. How are we not sharing? You have this wonderful community, all these scripts, for free.

The Member scripts are suppose to be an incentive to learn how to script, and be a part of this community. Not sit there and cry because we have some good ones. By the time you get to be a Member, you'll realize that you can make anything you need. That's the point.

well i voted yes, because no everyone have 80 mining and the cb and p2p account. i think it will not affect the ore economy.

There is already a flawless one available for the public so I think releasing yours wouldn't "crash the runescape economy" like people here are overreacting. It's not really an amazing way to make money. I'd say release it if you want some comments and thoughts on your script to learn from it :)

I could put an Anti-leech on it, it depends on how well it functions I guess.
If there are really two out there, then it's just a matter of searching for them, you won't need this one.

i think it should be released to public because i think there is a very high demand for a script like that and if gold ore price will crash it will also get back fast enough

It never goes back after it crashes.
Like all the herbs, took a huge dip in one day, those MIGHT come back.

Antileech is a worthless idea. Goldfarmers can bypass it easy. Common users can as well, with enough begging for help.

No. Do not even release it. It'll crash prices of gold. This is a good money making method too. Use it personally

I might add some features and apply for members with in in the next month or two.
