Hacked Again

Alright guys, I just lost a lot of motivation for scripting. I was hacked again, lost about 40-50m worth of items this time. Even lost a dragon pickaxe I was supposed to return.

Without anything in my bank, I can't write the scripts I was going to, and I just don't feel like it any more. I'll still be around, but until I can regain some of my stuff, I probably won't be scripting, so this is just a heads up. Don't expect any of my threads to be updated in the meantime with script updates.


I didn't get the IP, I wasn't looking for it. I didn't log in with SMART, either, so I didn't get a log of it. Running a scan now I guess, see if it picks up a keylogger. I'd rather not reformat my computer. Anyway, this was just a notice.

Didn't leave your username n pass in a script did you? Sorry to hear about the loss mate :( I'd offer you 5m if i had the money! Best of Luck. :)

I would suggest to just get a spare hard drive and install clean from there only the software you actually use.

No, I made that mistake once, didn't make it again.

How did it happen?
Did you upload a script with user/pass?
If not, and this has happened multiple time, a reformat seems like a must.

Really sad to see contributors get hacked D:.

The first time I was hacked, it was by an uploaded password, but this time, I didn't.

Lol u can get 50 mill in less then a week now use runespan till a decent rc lvl. I make 725k ph on nats gl im reconstructing too, never use sythe I learned thr hardway

I think what he is suggesting that without the items on Runescape he can't script e.g. he can't make a mining script without a pickaxe.

I'm willing to lend items you need for any script that you want to develop or keep updated Mate :) Although I had lost over 500m due to gambling so tight on the cash ;) But other than that I got the items!

Next time shoot me a PM so I don't have to find out about my dragon pickaxe this way haha. But don't worry about it! If you get your PC all scanned and cleared I will be glad to lend you another to help you make some cash.

They don't you try the lending option?
Sure it's like 24 hour limits but you can log into rs once a day no?

u can always do what some membs do, make scripts and sell them over on sythe...

Keep your head up I got hacked like 10-20 times and lost something like 20b in total due to that. RS gp are comming RS gp are going. Just make sure that you have mule accounts no one except you knows. You could make 20-30mil than gamble yourself to the amount of cash you want to have. Keep flipping in behind. Thats how I always rebuilding my bank. Try to get ranked in a Gambling cc.

same here. I have NEVER had a bank pin, and only changed my rs password once since its creation in 2004.
As long as you dont share account, and dont download virus/jdb, its nearly impossible to be hacked.

Everyone makes mistakes, what is important is to learn from the mistake and pick yourself up immediately ;)

Guys, he had a pin. A RAT infected his computer and keylogged everything. They got his pin and his info.

Rarely happens. They do it once and just ignore you until they feel like it. Except they'll do it when they see you with big bank.

Unfortunate really. I wish this kind of thing would just stop happening to decent ppl.
