About time, there was a technician mod who confirmed the nuke about 3 weeks ago and I guess its solid now.
Looks like rare prices will continue to fall then. I've been waiting on the perfect time to start buying, but at this point I'm not sure there will be one.
As for the nuke itself, I'm glad it's finally coming. I'm not worried about my own accounts, and with any luck there will be less competition in the hotspots.
No injection botting for me then :/

We are not sure, but probaly with a ''simple update'' we can continue botting. Also i think this botnuke will be vs the GoldFarmers, i mean yes ofcourse injection bots will stop working etc. But i think it will ban loads of GoldFarmers.Quote:

The clan or botters exposed recently made me seriously think how many of those "clans" haven't been exposed yet. Seems the more you scratch the surface the more crap you uncover.

YeaH, thanks God it's coming. It'll affect injection bots a lot. I don't think it'll harm color botting :p
What are the chances Simba will survive it? Because they said 'it wont just effect the reflection/injection bots', hinting at colour/screen-scraping bots!

Surely there is some way they can detect that we are using smart or something can't they? I think I read in a update that this was being improved also wasn't it?
I was not around last bot nuke, where colour bots affected? obviously a lot of scripts would have broken but were they fairly easily fixed?
The only risk in simba botting is that the SMART client becomes detectable.
But with SMART 7.1 coming out, it should be all goodQuote:

At the very worst we will just resort to VM botting? Im worried that they will do it before the bot nuke (or perhaps they have already done it) and store the list of simba users and mass ban them with the rest of the injection bots during the bot nuke (to act as if they can detect both injection and color when in fact all they detected was SMART). Though i think the impact of simba on RS is not significant enough for jagex to even bother about us. Those injection/goldfarming bots would probably be their priority.Quote:

Nothing can be 100% safe. Although there are options far safer than others.
I think Runescape have a pretty poor detection system for bots server wise, if you were going to use a system like SPS in WoW you would get banned very fast due it clicks points that arent randomly generated and a walking pattern will quickly appear
I agree, from my experience Jagex do not seem to demonstrate any kind of advanced auto detection methods. A lot (and some people are convinced) it is random Jmod walking and player reports only which contribute to bans.

Probably it still won't affect colorbots at all.
Finally.. There are way too many bots in the game right now.. with injection gone the economy will stabilize again. =)
