How the new Bot nuke V2 will work

JaGex have obviously made it clear they are trying to end all botting which is near impossible to do. JaGex recruited Mod jacmob from RSbuddy to help them in their bot destroying goal. This is what their plan will consist of and how it will change the way bots work.

This is not 100% the full plan but it is somewhat leaked information on how they plan to end botting.

JaGex understands that now the most common bots are doing using colors/images. JaGex plans on releasing a completely new set of random events that all use random color generators. For Example let's use the Prison Pete random event. In this random event you need to pop certain balloons to get a key. With JaGex's new random patch the balloons will be different colors every time you do the random, in fact they will be completely random generated colors so it will almost never be the same. Because JaGex also plans to make random events more frequent based on your in-game activity and experience gains they will make random offer better rewards to keep everyone happy. These new random events might also try to throw bots off by making random events require fast clicking or reaction time.

Bottable things that should remain safe:

Anything that can be done at soulwars bank
Construction
Dungeoneering

Unless JaGex makes it so that you can get randoms at soul wars and in your house.

people on this forum know what might come (well have a good idea) and we have put outselves into many thought experiments on what can they do..etc

Yes they can introduce impossible randoms, but apart from that we are PRREETTYY confident that whatever they do we can solve it, even with random uptext fonts :)


Also there IS random in build mode / normal mode house.

We do have auto color...

They can try to defeat color botting, it won't work though. All they can do it make it a bit more difficult.

But random events are already randomly colored. :/ The Grave-Digger & BeeKeeper; both have randomly colored interfaces each time you get the event.

Isn't injection still the most common bots currently? RiD+Simba does not even make out of 20% of the bots. Their priority would be to bring down those injection/goldfarming bots (sorc gard etc) which have a much larger impact and are easier to obliterate (obfuscate the code).

That'd be funny, imagining those ppl dging at w67/77 and when their party is almost 5/5 a member suddenly get random'd.

As do the Quiz Master and the Surprise Exam. So..

I think jagex has bigger fish to fry than people botting for personal gain(levels and gp) I'd say they are going to largely target things that affect the game as a whole like gold farming and things that will crash the economy/ruin the game for legits.

It has been shown that the talented devs of this forum can handle randomly generated colours already so I don't see this becoming a huge issue.

i believe what he says on how thier targeting color bots, because its the only bot that they havent found a way to truely bring to a grinding halt such as with injection. They already have a solid system that doesnt affect legiters at all and ruins injection for a while. I believe color bots are thier next challenge. But as is stated above I believe in simba's developers ;)

Why doesn't jagex just accept defeat and release rs as a programming base for learning game programming using different programming languages? I feel if they turn rs into a giant online software that enables everyone to practice coding on, their goals for the game will be a bit more straight forward than ever before. I mean c'mon, time spent implementing this new randoms techinques could be spent updating the game (new combat system)...

People who use this kind of logic bug me. There are multiple development teams working on different coding projects, so working on a new random event system won't affect their progress in the combat update at all.

I look forward to seeing the new randoms, and then continuing to use the SW and Daemonheim banks :p

But the people working on the new random event system would still be able to work on something else, like a different update for the game.

what kill color bots?

I wish they would just give up on some of this stuff. I can barely tell what rocks have ore, I can barely solve the random events, and I can hardly stand the spam bots that now PM you in the game. I also hate the recent in game popups. And this is why I bot, because the bot can take care of all these issues for me...

how much knowledge does Jacmob have of this community? i think its next to nothing.
He's a clever guy but not his line of code

Hopefully agility on ape atoll will remain without randoms too :s
