Form Designer for Simba[Coming soon]

Hi all. Let me introduce you to the forms designer for Simba. While he was at an early stage of development, but may place the components on the form, and change their properties in runtime.

You should make this an extension.

Yes, after conversion to stable version - I plan to turn this into a plug-in + extension.

This is actually kind of cool looking. Will dl soon.

Something I already suggested for the new Simba, no action was taken though.

I had started on that but dropped it since I didn't know pascal :c
Only knew how to get it to drag drop components but honestly I'm glad to see this guy doing it. He's not even a member yet.

Any reason as to why Simba didn't 'carry on' the form editor from SCAR?

Or did SCAR integrate the form editor after the SCAR/Simba split?

Form editor in SCAR has been there for the longest time, as to why Simba didn't carry over the editor, I don't know.

Freddy bought the form designer from someone so we couldn't use it.

Why did SCAR and Simba split?

Old bug fixed, new added-) Replacement of the class Tlist on a dynamic array, increasing the stability of the application

Thank you for your kind comments. -) However, I would come in handy your help. It would be priceless - if someone suggested, which generally have components, and most importantly - their properties. No information is silent, the designer will support only 8-component (

This looks great! I've shyed away from adding forms to my scripts because I haven't been able to get them to look just the way I want, very keen for the release of this!

So, script gen is work now. And...In theory, this can already be used to design forms.

Stabilize save state of components, a visual designer - works, generator script - works. The editor component properties - currently not available. So, this app may use for script form design-) Version - alpha. Attachment updated.

Simba extensions do not support the loading of libraries. I suggest either add it to simba, or create and extension. If you wish I could do the small conversion to an extension for you.

Fixed script generator. Now the generated code can be used in the script, without manual editing, just after generation.

The code is open, you can freely use it. I do not do the expansion - because it will not be able to maintain and debug, I do not have the necessary knowledge-(

Whoa! This is very nice. I'll definitely want to integrate this into Simba. May I suggest not going for an extension, as that will probably greatly complicate things. Extensions are nice for more simple tasks, I think. Not so much for very complicated tasks. Integrating it into Simba is probably a lot easier. Of course, if you don't have the time to integrate it, someone else can integrate it.

To answer a few questions: We never got a Form Designer, simply because there isn't an existing one that we can use. We never shared any source with SCAR, simply because SCAR doesn't share its source with the rest of the world. So there is no ``Form Designer'' to ``copy'' to start with. Both Raymond and I never felt a form designer was something we'd like to make, so it never really happened.

But, this is great. We might be able to merge this into Simba 1.0, too. :)

Does it have the same property as the SCAR Form Editor where it produces these lines in the editor to help you allign buttons and labels?

That helps me a lot when making my forms.

I have not seen the forms designer SCAR, but if you mean manually editing the component's properties - it will be added in future versions.
