7 Days With RSDemon

I apologise in advance, my space bar is slightly broke, bear with me.

I think this may turn into a slightly controversial thread. Remember this is a true account of 7 days with RSDemon, I'm not trying to sell you the bot or for that matter, put you off buying the bot.

Day One, 18th April
I will continue these updates each day of the week.

After waiting several days for Tomas to appear on MSN, he eventually appears around lunchtime today. I ask him a few questions about if a seperate key is needed for a "Boss Character" - A character in which the workers deposit there logs on. From what I understand now, the boss worker is on a proxy so not to be associated with the worker bots when they are banned.

Eventually, after much small talk I purchase a key from Tomas, using RS Gold. He asks me to meet him in world 29 by the lumbridge south fountain, I meet up and trade his level 7, he adds a mind rune to make the trade even. All is well and good and he and I log out, he hands me the key over MSN and I put it into the bot.

At first the key would not validate. He told me If i'd recently closed the bot then it would take 6minutes before I could use it again. I waited six minutes then attempted again. This time, I recieved a wierd error message and the characters light (the faint black box by the characters information on RSDemon, lights up according to wether it's working or not) went from orange to green, then just stopped. I asked Tomas perfusely about this and he couldn't figure out the problem.

After much deliberation, he told me Runescape had been updated and that the creator of the bot needed to create an update for the bot in order for it to work. He said he would put the update on the site when he recieved it. That made me think. He isn't the creator of the bot, so i'd love to know how he can instantly give me a key when he isn't the creator. Im pretty sure now, this guy is reselling the bot, Im not sure if he has rights to sell the keys or like somebody suggested the bot and keygen is a free download on a chinese website and he sees a window of oppertunity to make a quick profit.

I tried the bot several times that night, and no luck. He said the update could take 6-24 hours to recieve. I'm still awaiting the update, and Im pretty pissed he sold me the key knowing fully that it wouldn't work. Hopefully I'll speak to him tommorow and he'll sort it out, so day one and no production.

how? I baught a pin from that dude, its been working fine but cut out last nyte coz of update, update got released today and its going good again. This guy doesnt scam, unless you mean he got ripped coz its free or cheaper or w/e

That's what i meant, selling dodge keys that are free is a bit of a scam.

Yeah, probly. Im tryna find chinese version for the creater of it. Theres cinese sites that sell a ton of pins

Well yes, the updates out and Im fiddling with the bot now.

I have ran into an issue you maybe be able to help with Meange, when you select a worker as a boss worker, you don't need a pin, but when you modify the character a box is promted it you. A four character word with a text field. What's this about?

He sells ~3000 keys a week, meaning there are that many people out there using RSDemon. How can there be more RSDemoners than legits? I'm pretty sure there are more than 3000 legit players lol

that's 150 thousand friggen noobs ruining autoing. (+ all the auths from the chinese sites)

Meh, eventually rs will be flooded by autoers anyways. We can't really do anything against it, we're powerless and jagex would never accept the ideas of an autoing site, althought we could give them good hints as to what behaviour to look for :). The matter of fact is, we can only stand on the sidelines and watch as bots like RSdemon destroy the game. In a way, this means a "Mission accomplished" for some of the people on this forum, for others it is a sign of tragedy because a popular game has just been ruined.

The auth key was probably a fake or scam. Sorry you fell for it, but thats the chineese lower class - fake watches, and a commi-bible in the right hand :D. JK, if anyone here is chineese no need to feel offended.

BTW, maybe the auth algorythm was cracked. If you gimme the proggy, I might be able to reverse engineer it and crack it.

150 thousand is nothin. This is china were talkin about (1.3 bill people). Assuming that 5% of their population play RS, thats 65.000.000 players. Lets say a quarter of them auto or will auto... Thats a shitload of macroers!

I doubt 5 % of chineese peeps play rs.. infact i've never met a chineese person.

Its just an estimate. Of course 5% don't, but I know that where I live there's a lot of people that do play it (about 7%, made a survey O-O, me = geeky :P).

So, assuming china is the same (obviously not, a very large lower class), this would be a (VERY) rough estimate.

it had the same effect, Runescape overrun by bots,
jagex brought out a lot of new random events, they affect SRL too, so they will probably make loads more now because of this bot. So dont use it

omg i hate bots ruining it for srl and everyone but anyways the bot doesnt solve much randoms therefor doesnt run as long but pesky..You know what im gonna learn scripting and somehow make a script so good it outsmarts all there chinese bot technology!!! Time to get studying scripting over weekend o.O

I agree, rsdemon ruins rs. These are the SCAR resource library forums, take your rsdemon talk elsewhere.

Your post has several flaws. One key is nessecary per/character. That is not one key for 50 characters. That means there are 3000 characters using RSdemon, a week.

Question, If this bot is cracked then surely it'll be mass released and we'll have a lot more than the pre-existing figure of 3000 RSDemon users.

Also, if this community is strictly for SRL, why is there discussions of Runescape and even iBot? RSDemon is apart of Runescape and deserved to be freely spoken about similar to that of iBot.

The thread is for informative purposes only. RSdemon has a lot of good points, but quite frankly the negatives weigh out the positives. I'll give my final verdict after day 7. As much as I feel the majority of the abuse about the bot is being aimed at me, I'll continue to edit the post for those interested.

1) There's already a couple threads for RSDemon...

2) Notice how many of us react when iBot people come here?

3) SRL is for runescape, so, duh, we're gonna talk about it?

PS: I guess you got me with the 3k auths, though :p

You guys ever heard the saying 'if you can't beat them, join them'? While I would never buy a bot, why not use the most efficient means of autoing available?

Who said we cant beat them?

Anyways our ways of autoing are less detectable therefore i think SCAR is alot better

I agree that its ruining RS but what can we do about it? nothing, if we refuse to use it its not going to make much difference, the only difference is we also profit from it.You can run SCAR at the same time as the bot which is what Ive been doing so its not a choice between SCAR and rsdemon.

Yeah...I guess the only people who can really stop it is all 'dem jagexes....

Which means more randoms are on the way..

I doubt they will solve it with more randoms.

How else would they do it then?

Either stop it at the source or with an engine update. Randoms would either be solved or just accepted as a part of life for them, and they would just use other players. Which is how it is now AFAIK. A new unsolvable random so often that it would be too much to accept would piss off legits too much.

I dont like people using rsdemon, but we cant do anything about it, we just have to wait for jagex to do soemthing (which hopefully wont affect scar). I would love to see someone post a day by day progress journal about how rsdemon worked though.
