Wow, thats interesting. Have any mods posted on the forums with a reasoning?
Perhaps instead of it dying in a few years, their expectations are to have it live past 12+ years? :P (but who am I kidding...) ;)

Checked one of my old accounts which was banned in 2009, it currently has 1 hour less time left then the picture you posted :p
They just took all permabanned accounts, and set it to 12 years. :/
