SRL - Announcement.

Runescape is in serious trouble. Free-2-Play is threatened in its existence. Botting is once again seriously destroying the game at an alarming rate. While some may think Jagex deserves it, SRL believes this to be a big mistake. Botting on such a massive scale is stupid, provocative and frankly quite dangerous since it quashes the very basis of our own existence. It is on this light SRL is reaching out a helping hand to Jagex by releasing BotCatcher. BotCatcher reports level-3 and level-4 's.


Why do we do this?

• SRL has been and will always be respectful towards Jagex. We try to be a leech-free community and demand input and creativity from our Members. We feel that recent events will ultimately lead to the destruction of f2p runescape. Unless we do something, we will all end up empty handed, for at this rate of botting, runescape will be gone pretty soon.
• Someone out there is selling runescape bot-liscences. His only goal is to make money. He doesn't care at all for the game nor the underlying social and economical structure nor for the shear pleasure it gives to 100.000 mainly young players worldwide. And though RS has its dark sides, it is still a wonderful elaborate game, free for all. Destroying a free game is unethical and immoral.
• We want to make crystal clear we have nothing to do with any of these botting activities. While this has once destroyed Kaitnieks, it wont destroy us!
• Of course we are all aware that releasing this script is a controversial act, but it is not an act of war nor hostility but one of Reason. Point well made, stop destroying the game. Be creative, there are many way of cloaking your existence.

Help runescape survive. Run Botcatcher.

And I have a sad feeling that whatever Jagex does to stop this bot, it will effect us somehow, in a bad way.

Seriously though. If you want this to be truly effective, copy and paste this exact message on the official RS forums (those who are RS members). Tell them to ban ALL level 3s silently cutting trees.

Did you fill out the player form? And once you run it, use alt+Tab to select the ScuneRape client and it will start choosing a world.(add an activate client in the script so you won't have to do this). Also remember you MUST use on a signed applet.

@lolpie, if you do paste that, then remember to edit out all the stuff about us. Because they can't run SCAR.

And this is pretty ironic that we(macroers) are helping out Jagex and trying to get rid of other macroers. But I really hope RSDemon dies, and soon.

*cries* THANK YOU!!! SRL Devs. Time to get to reporting. Someone should pm the RSDemon creator and tell him about this lol.

Edit: Just maybe ask them first if they are macroing then give them 10 seconds to respond or less

This is genuinely a great idea. I hope that this will cut back on level three noobs swarming Draynor and south of Falador, etc. Although it may cut away at those people who bought popular pay scripts, they deserve it for being so...noobish. Good work to the person/people who made this, and I hope this makes a difference.

thanks, I actually figured it out just before you posted. I just had to click on the runescape screen (or alt+tab as you suggested).

It got the names of about 20 noobs but only reported 7.. It also thought that I was a macro (Very Clever) even though im 35 combat. Its my clothes, they arent default but the pants are green. :P Maybe it could report all the level 3 names that it gets? It only reported half of them...?
