I'm botting using powerbot to see how it goes.
any bot should be fine as long as its not excessive gp or stupid script
It's never been "safe to bot"
Especially not now. Some of these people botting now might not get caught for a few more days, but im sure they will soon. Its stupid to keep botting on the assumption that jagex isnt going to be able to catch you, no matter how much you baby sit it or whatever. No one knows how jagex are doing bot control but its a dumb idea to assume you can get away with it if you "blend in". you will get caught eventually, they are taking this very seriously.
I am botting superheat, added tons of antibans. so far so good
It is not safe I was in Botany bay when they pick almost 20 person or more from there >.<

Been botting on 2 accounts 24/7 or as near as I can. One with a really human-like script w/ some breaks and such, one with a simple click same pixels script - 0 warnings so far. Still too soon to tell how effective the system is, but so far so good
I got banned because of a glitch, then jagex unbanned me and apologized in an email, saying they knew i was legit and gave me 20 free spins as compensation. I was botting before, during, and after that happened. So yes, it's safe to bot :)
Same thought with me, after such thing happen on my 2nd account, I start to train smithing on my main.(P.S. 2nd account bot is botting for pure gold farming at that moment)Quote:

Im currently botting on my total level 2118 main but I stopped the overnight botting.
Apart from yesterday's debacle, has anyone actually been caught by the 'claw of doom' yet?
It seems to me that Jagex have released Botany Bay but the underlying 'bot watch' system is still not in operation. I think they tried something sneaky yesterday but it back-fired big time and they ended up embarrassing themselves.
Like a few other people, I've got a couple of expendable bots running 24/7 and will report back here if anything bad happens to them. I don't think Jagex will risk breaking RS over the weekend but I do expect something to happen next week, once they've got their act together. However, I could be wrong ;)

I'd be careful. From what I recall their whole new system seems to be about detecting areas with a lot of bots, and then detecting the script they're using. You shouldn't underestimate Jagex, because this could get ugly if they actually start banning people like they did back in the day.
Tbh I won't actually be pissed if my main gets banned you know why? Just due to the fact that I actually only came back onto RS from a 4/5 year break just to bot, it really didn't want to play legit like really man playing legit would actually kill me :( currently most of my skills are over level 70 or 80 now and ive been playing for 42 days and 40 of those days have been botting lol so to me losing a main is just losing a bit of money through my bills which would be the same because I leave my computer on most the time :p

I have thoughts along the same line. Maybe they already know who is and who isnt botting. They are just calculating the financial impact. They done it before, and they tried to do it yesterday! On the other hand, they have left us doing our thing for far too long.... they need a lot of catching up.Quote:

please do realize that the botany bay update has been partially toned down, because it was getting legit players currently anyone they catch gets a perm ban instead of warnings.

What happens if I'm killing AZs and range guilding? Can I get banned with those?
I just made my first script, allot errors to get to the end and it got stuck allot, but so far even this acc i don't care about hasn't gotten banned. my main has been autoing in runespan forever too, and nothing has happend.
Yes just be careful as always. Iave been botting after and im fine. In my opinion talk at least talk once every 2 hours or so.
im botting waterfiends with powerbot on my 2318 total level main... soon as i have the last 7k crims and can buy 99 summ ill move onto 99 crafting. so far no ban. gotten 17k crims so far.
