Something touching just happened in rs..

Well, there I was, testing out a script at the lumby chickens, and a level 5 is requesting my assistance. They thought that that was how you added friends and they had been "adding" people like that all day. :) They were asking other people (bots) about how to play runescape, and she asked me why they didn't respond. I didn't have the heart to tell her that they were bots, because I know that when I was that age I didn't know and it would have ruined the way I thought about runescape. Anyway, I told her they were just busy, and I ansered her questions, told her about xp, leveling, and trading. Earler somebody had tried to scam 20 uncooked beef from her but she was saved by someone passing by that that was a bad trade. Luckily she had banked all her money and didn't go around giving it to people. I also gave her some chicken and bones to start her off.
Anyway I just thought I'd share because it reminded me of when I first started, running around with iron swords and a med. helm, leveling extremely inefficiently, but hell, I didn't care, It was fun.:)

E: I don't think I left lumbridge until months after starting to play :D

I didn't bot, I leggited, and talked to everyone. Back then, there weren't as many hits as nowadays.

I know you didn't bot lol, it's just that sometimes people report without checking at places like that nowadays :(. If you were talking though it would have been fine :). When I first started in 06 was botting widespread? If it was I wasn't aware of it at least. I think the first I learned about bots was in 08 and I thought they were only at Draynor Willows :rolleyes:.

When I started, I accidentally scammed someone 100k... so rags to riches here.

Lol, that happened to me recently :P

Was lending my Green mask for 100k, guy declined, said sorry, started trade up again.

Put in 300k accidently, I put in my mask for lending, and we both accepted, I got an extra 200k. He came back a moment later, saying I scammed him, and wanted his money back. Until he found out I had a 25K trade limit now :P
Guess you can't really call that a scam... TY Jagex!

3hrs, twas a noob lol

I lent my sara set for 24hrs for 50k a few years back. I thought I did pretty well :)

Took me 6 years to make my first 100k
Granted I was 6 - 7 back when I first started playing, I guess you could see why. ;)
(I wasn't very good, legitted 67 mining, and 64 fishing. Always lost my money before I could make 100k. </3)

My first 100k was from mining silver in varrock :)
My first 1m was no-lifeing the limpwurt root spawns in the resource dungeon right as it came out 3k each iirc. Within a week I had full zammy and I felt like a boss :D.

Ah nostalgic...

Ah those were the days, I remember when I thought collecting feathers was amazing money. xD

what about thinking taverly dungeon was the most ridiculous and scary place you'd been in when you first became a member?

I started rs when a classmate showed it to me. He taught me the basic knowledge. I remember when I was 27 att 1 str 1 def, I didn't know how to switch... :D I still have that very same account. :D

Nice:D. My first account I forgot the name of because I made it when I was 10 :p. (06) It didn't have holiday items then though because at that time I was busy shearing sheep and fighting goblins so I didn't do the event :D

Remembers me of my first days. A couple of friends introduced me to RuneScape originally and gave me some free stuff to start off with. All other RuneScape players were kind and actually helped you if you had a problem. If we could go back...

This story is fairly similiar to when I played 2006Scape for the first time, people were actually kind and I got full iron and an iron scimitar from some nice guy to start off with :)

I remember fighting the guards and being able to kill them was like being lvl 126 max. Thought they were the strongest NPC.

Didn't know where Taverly dungeon was until I was like 90+

Nice. I remember when some guy tried to teach me how to kill goblins but i didn't manage to attack because goblins were lvl 5 in rsc and I should have right clicked but I was too newbie to understand. I used to pick up every item when I started playing.

Ook ok, what about the first time you saw coins on the ground and you'd spam click on them hoping you'd get it!

Or learning how to touch type because you had to be quick for trades in W2... That was how I learned to become a fast typer because people wouldn't wait for you to type "Give me an offer on that"

Yeah, I was the same :) and I sold everything I picked up at the general Store, and then waited for someone to sell something good then try to buy it before someone else got it :D

awww how cute. This reminds me off all them lv 3 yew cutters and the autotypers I thought were just typing really quick - I was such an innocent child.
