Guy In Real Life
True True - but the fact is that anyone who knows about software will know thats a keylogger or a trojan, feel sorry for the people who are just little kids who just pass their time on rs :(
Didn't JAG kill phishing?
I have a non-static IP so I can't use it.
Wait... JAG needs a static ip? That's pretty f*****g stupid, considering the amount of people i know that use a business internet connection to play
(automatically assigned dynamic if you have business internet)
Seems like jagex are getting more retarded as the months go on
A lot of the people that use powerbot do not use JAG because they believe it detects the client you play on and will get you banned apparently.
True that, but their is much more effective ways of doing it, i can't really be bothered to go into details and mechanics since it's 3am and im pretty damn drunk, but yeah providing support for people with static ip's and leaving the rest to fight for themself, seems... a bit... too much like jagex lol
most powerbot users believe anything you tell them lol
I have JAG turned on and Ive been using powerbot since Botany Bay came out and no ban yet. Im almost 99 smithing btw.
I wish I could use JAG, but I guess I'll settle with not downloading shady stuff and not entering my pass on sketchy sites
Account name is Dysai beware of this little one
Doesn't JAG depend on what device you're using? Not your ip?
Jag uses your MAC address.. Not your IP.
JAG most certainly doesn't use the MAC number. I had to do it seperately when running RS through WINE, on the same computer.
It definitely doesn't use your external IP, because mine changes all the time and I'm fine. I assumed it used your mac address, but maybe not then
It could use the MAC address of the network card, or something similar. Since it won't change, and there will never be a copy of it.
My ip is dynamic and jag always seems to work, I think it's to do with your computer ip or a device because smart required me to add it to the safe list.
I've seen this happen.
Not only that, but people who are maxed will scam/try to hack as well.
Those people who sell their maxed accounts claiming they have quit playing then a few months later or sooner, recover the account with all your hard earned money on it.
Anyone and everyone can scam. Pretty sad, but that's the truth.
