CrazyCrayfish [EOC][F2P]

I decided to make this script after I saw that there were no low level fishing scripts released. The purpose of this script is to get you from level 1 to level 20 fishing as painlessly as possible :). You can use it at a higher level, but personally I wouldn't because there is much better XP to be had elsewhere at that point.

Location:

• River behind the Lumbridge church.

Features:

• SixHourFix Support
• Pixelshift fishing detection
• EOC Dropping
• Deposit Banking

Instructions:

• Start player in sight of the fishing spots
• Have your inventory empty
• Have your 1st Action Bar slot set to 1 (If dropping)
• Set the 1st XP tracker to the skill Fishing
• Press Run.

Requirements:

• ODTM include (Get it here: http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?p=847813 ) Follow installation instructions from the linked thread.
• Must not have completed the EOC combat tutorial in Lumbridge if you're banking!

Future Updates:

• Cooking the crayfish before dropping them

Solid, and about as profitable as lobsters. I will say I didn't expect or like the deletion of my current xp I had earned so far on my counter though. You could just do a save of the starting total xp and subtract to get current earned xp instead. I like the status updates, btw.

Sorry if I sounded mean or mad about that - it was a secondary account, but I could foresee being upset about it :p

Also, nice idea on teleporting using the eoc tutorial. I don't know if you came up with that or not... But good job nonetheless.!

E: ObjectDTM include files added to the OP, use them if the official thread downloads don't work, follow the instructions on the ObjectDTM thread.

I honestly have no idea where the connection was to any code you wrote, unless that function (LoadTextTPA) is called by UpText. This happened in Version 1.1 as I didn't notice a 1.2 was in existence.

Was the first xp counter set to total or fishing?

It was set to total, which is what I think 1.1 automatically resets it to each run, right?

I only tried it for a couple minutes because I left for work this morning, but it seemed to die after about 15 minutes due to a failure to teleport. Didn't have the chance to look into it, just started it up again and left for work, hoping it was a fluke. I'll let you know better when I get off.

I did notice the teleport thing when testing, thought I fixed it though :(
It happens when 4 symbols that it checks for all get covered up by NPCs, items, or people.
I'll some more checks.

I had some issues with that in one of my scripts. In order to get around that, I added some logic to determine a minimum count of symbols and relative location from current position (positive y, negative x, etc) - although adding additional failsafes beyond that is always even better too! :D

Mine only breaks if it can't find any symbols, because in the area I want to be those symbols don't show up anywhere else, so I might use SPS or ODTM area checking...

What would happen if I started your script somewhere else that happens to have one or more of those symbols nearby and the teleport legitimately fails, would that cause the script to bug-out due to detecting the symbols in an invalid location?

It depends if it would legitimately fail consistently. If it failed once, but saw the symbols so it thought it worked, it would try to walk to the bank and bank, and if that didn't work it would teleport again. If it was successful that time, it would have fixed itself and be fine, if it failed again, it would keep trying until it had reached the teleport limit of five in a row, then it would logout and terminate.

Also note that I've never seen it not teleport, so the only real issue is the checks ;)

Ditto on my noticing of failures, it seems pretty solid except for the verifications :D

Okay, found a way! Now it just looks for the blinking arrow, and if it doesn't find it within five seconds of teleporting then it knows it failed :D

V1.3 released - Fixed teleporting bug

This works beautifully, thanks. Got me to level 20 quickly so I could begin fly fishing :)

Attachment 18981 It seems to get stuck here, scrolls the screen around looking for the chest I assume, then teleports again until it logs out after a few tries.

Also, out of random curiousity, I walked my main here and the arrow does disappear if you've done the tutorial, although for most people using this, you probably won't have to worry too much about that.

Thanks for including a picture. Is your inventory full or empty in the picture? The debug in the chat says "Walking to River", but it looks like you just logged in and haven't fished yet. More info would help me to understand what it was doing when it messed up :)

And thanks for telling me about the arrow not appearing when the tutorial is completed, I mostly completed it on my main, but I guess it stops when you finish it 100%. Thanks :)

The inventory was full the first time I ran it, so after a failure, I emptied it and started again. The second attempt with an empty inventory failed doing the same thing (however I didn't read the progress status...)

No problemo, although I do recommend doing the tutorial for the huge xp rewards, I think I got 160k summoning xp (based on your current level) when I did mine.

So on the second attempt did you start it at the fishing spot? I'm puzzled why you're at the bank without having fished anything.

The second attempt I started at the bank as that was where it was left from when i deposited. I thought it would head back to the fish if it was at the bank, if not then I suppose that was a PEBKAC error XD

Although it should teleport and walk to the fishing spot if it can't find it, I have not tested this extensively. Try starting from the fishing spot, meanwhile I'll be swiching worlds, logging out, re opening clients, and checking colors until I am 100% sure that the arrow color is static (I only tested 5 times to see that it was static)

If it's JUST the color that's the possible issue, you could look at the screenshot I sent you as that should have the color that would have been erring. If it's the same as yours, the issue could be something else?

I feel kinda stupid for not being able to find this out. But I go to run the script and get this error "Exception in Script: Unable to find file 'ObjectDTM\ObjDTMInclude.simba' used from 'C:\Simba\Scripts\CrazyCrayfishV1.3.simba'" So I searched the error, and found I needed another extention. So I installed it, restated simba. And thought I solved it and that would be the end of the story. Nope, Installed restarted simba clicked play and got the same error.
Any thought on how to fix it?

Check your includes folder. is there a folder in it called ObjectDTM? If there is no ObjectDTM folder in your Includes folder, then make an ObjectDTM folder in your Includes folder manually. Download these two Simba files and put them in the ObjectDTM folder. If there is an ObjectDTM folder in your Includes folder, are there two Simba files inside? If not, download these two Simba files and put them in the ObjectDTM folder.

The line it mentions is blank. I tried running it again and got the same problem. Hopefully you have another really easy solve for this one. XD
