So this winter break the past 4-5 days I have been having 3-4 Coke-Zero's a day and browsing on the SRL forums because I never have them in my household.

Pro tip: Don't do this, only if you want to grow an acne farm in your face

Yup, you guessed it, this Coke-Zero drinking rampage started to grow a small acne field on my face with each Coke-Zero fertilizing it.

Good thing I have another week off school for this acne to clear up.


Mods tell me if I need to remove that pic I did not expect it to be that big..

I dont think this is to do with the coke zero, as it suggests theres almost nothing in it,

I drink a few pints every day (for years) and have next to no acne :p

Actually, Coke Zero is more unhealthy than normal coke:/ Saw a whole documentary on it CBF going into detail or hogging thread.

On a side note, i drink coke regularly not as much as i used to though, maybe one a day. And i too have never had any issues with ACNE from coke. However, ever since i hit my teen days i used soap and washer everyday from highschool+ and i guess it worked. During teen age tis important to keep on top of things.

Like DannyRS said, there is no sugar, no caffine not a lot of caffeine, etc, basically just sweeteners, flavorings and water.

I seriously doubt that the 'zero' version of coke is more unhealthy than the regular version. The regular version contain so many empty calories, that alone makes it extremely unhealthy.

The only thing you could argue is that there is artificial sweeteners used and that they cause cancer or some shit, but that is just some bullshit myth from a bunch of conspiracy theorist that think that as soon as something isn't coming from a plant or an animal, it must be bad for you.

There's hundreds upon hundreds of scientific research that as been done on aspartame and other artificial sweeteners and none found serious risk to peoples health.

Coke zero is more "unhealthy" than regular coke (Artificial sweeteners are really bad for you, many have been directly linked to cause cancer)

Where as regular coke has in-direct links to cause cancer.

Regarding the picture, acne is not caused by diet.
A) Hormones
B) Cleanliness

A) You have an imbalance and should either wait to out grow it or go visit a dermatologist. This kind of acne normally happens during teen years, pregnancy, menopause, steroid use.

B) Pores in skin collect too much oil and thus the excretion is acne, try a Saline Acid based wash or Benzyl Peroxide.

The whole "My acne is from my crap diet" isn't really true, sure if you really do eat crap all day you will produce more oils and then yes it is true but if you eat everything in correct proportion you will be fine.

Can I just confirm this isn't due to fizzy drinks.

Proof on my behalf:

I work part time as a second job at KFC near the fatty stuff sometimes
I drink only fizzy drinks there.
Everyday I have 5-10 fizzy drinks


I get about 2-3 spots a month MAXIMUM.

Reason:

I wash.

Yeah I had really bad acne when I was a teenager and I must have been the most healthy person in the world, I was a sprinter so the majority of my food was lean meat or greens rarely ate any greasy foods or anything, I washed my face everyday I got told it was my testosterone levels? I can't even remember but I drink and eat so bad now and my face rarely gets spots or whatever lol

But they do contribute to it. in some cases.

Drinking soft drinks can cause you to get kidney stones, as the soft drinks contain a high amount of oxalates.

If you want kidney stones, sure drink away.

Only by "crap doctors" there has been clinical trial after trial proving food is an inconclusive acne cause. The only food known to cause acne is chocolate but that isn't related to diet coke in anyway. The only other way I if you are lactose intolerant, and start eating dairy. Tbh when I am at school I live off fizzy drinks (3-5 a day) and I rarely get acne.

You can keep drinking that coke all you like, it doesnt make a big difference.

Your acne might be caused by staying indoors for longer than usual. Since the beginning of the break, you have probs changed your daily routine so that you spend less time outside of your home. There is a lot more dust in the air of an average home than there is in school/public buildings (they're usually cleaned daily to avoid spreading of infections).
Better get some fresh air and wash your face properly 2 times a day. Giving your room a good cleanup wont hurt either :)

Even so when I had acne I didn't have puss like that or massive white heads like those :|

Lucky for OP the picture is just illustrative :D. Ppl who have that bad acne should see a doctor ASAP, because this severe acne is likely to leave scars on the skin. Conventional methods might just take the edge off but wont help much.

This guy prob has perm scars

Nah not at that young of an age, if you are 30+ and still get acne then yes you basically get perm scars but at that age it is just discoloration that will fade over time as our skin continually regenerates especially fast at young ages.
