Quitting runescape/botting

I'm going to quit runescape and botting, mostly since I got banned on my completionist cape main and also since I should really quit runescape before I go to college.

I know I was kind of a leech here, having never learned how to code in pascal, but I still enjoyed the community here and reading through the threads here. I met a lot of cool people who I will miss.

My ban was due to the fact that I had botted firemaking on my main for 3 days when I hadn't botted anything on it for the previous 3 months. My alt account was not banned even though I botted 24/7 on that for 3 months straight.

Well, goodbye villavu, I don't think I'll be visiting here too much either since I will be trying to completely move past runescape.

:/ sorry to hear about your ban, what scripts and clients did you use to bot?

Was using powerbot during the past few months as simba was not working for me after the nav bar update.

I was botting jadinko lair for 50m/200m fm xp and it's a perm ban.

Do you know if it was manual ban?

No idea, but there wasn't any comments/evidence shown.

But I remember you posting in shay's thread that you would stay away from firemaking after those maxed players got banned?
So were you on that list? Or did you decide to keep botting fm after that post?

I did say that and I probably should have stuck to that, but I decided to do a little botting anyways and I got banned for it.

Since nothing has been shown as evidence/written, your username was probably spammed on the forums or passed on the hlf, thats all I could think of possibly happening.

I thought this ban would be related to dungeoneering, but jadinkos..jagex seriously needs to cut us some slack and pay attention to heavier botted areas..

I'm thinking about getting a part-time job and making some educational youtube videos now since I got partnership on my youtube account recently.

I heard that the hotspots were dungeoneering and slayer, so I thought I was safe just doing a little fm. Dungeoneering was something I enjoyed doing on rs legit, got around 162m dg xp legit before I got banned.

Almost to 70m fm with my bonfire script - should have done that!

sad to see you getting banned by jagex.
My 1st main got banned on 2010 for woodcutting (powerbot again :p ), I quit for a while but then came back and started botting again+joined SRL soon. After i wrote my own scripts, there havent been any more bans for me.

Darn, that has got to hurt! Oh well, you can focus on your career plans now :)!

Maybe that would have been smarter, but I chose jadinko lair cause it was free and faster xp. Also I had no idea I'd get banned just doing fm.

I think there's been alot of jakinko bans recently :/ seen alot of people report them on pb.

:/ Sorry to hear, try making a new account? You can basically get a max cape in about 5 months of on and off botting.

One thing is for sure...I am defo not going to touch anything to do with Powerbot :|

I think people are unfair on powerbot :P, It's not their fault as such, since their client is undetectable when used appropriately. It's the scripts fault in most cases :P and atm botting on a maxed acc is not a good idea :P

Yeah I had your worries too at first, why my very first reaction was to ask him what client he was using instead of wishing him fairwell.
But I only think it's a matter of time before we hear of some simba bans. Alot of us bot 24/7 and jagex is really cracking down on bots atm :P.
But want me to be honest? I want to see some simba bans, I like a bit of competition and It would be good to see how well we can adapt :P
note: I do not wish anyones acc to be banned really, but maybe some leecher :P

my other account is almost 2200 total, but I have no cash anymore to max it cause I never kept cash on it since I thought that was the account that'd get banned, also wouldn't have the same feel as my main.

It sucks you got banned, looks like you were one of the ones Jagex mentioned in JJ's link. Why would Jagex ban for firemaking when goldfarming skills/areas are still flooded with bots?

They are just getting the legit people happy so they can keep paying and stay. After all, we do have new skills coming up.

That really sucks man. Well it is good your not living in the past and your moving on. Your going to be much more focused and have more time to do other things. Hopefully you don't regret your decision and you make the best IRL!

The reason they banning bot is to increase income. Without the bot, human will not able to play 24/7 and therefor need to pay for more membership to get the level they want

If you ever want it, I can let you have an extra account I have. It's a relatively high level account, and it's better then starting with nothing.

I think Jagex is banning a lot of maxed/completionist guys because one of the valid complaints from the players was that while the accounts like "vddfsgh" were getting banned, good ole Jimmy who secretly botted his max cape was safe.

I already have my noob account that I was trying to get max cape on, but playing on it wouldn't be the same, as I have a ton of memories on my main. Also I don't want to spent too much more time on runescape.

I don't think they've really banned the obvious goldfarmers as you can still see at dragons and LRC, just wanted to strike out at the people who wanted levels.

Thanks, I've spent so much time and energy on runescape, now having the time to do more productive things will be good for me, don't think I'm going to come back.
