Default State of The Include: CrowdSourcing

Hello everyone, last week I uploaded the first ever episode of State of the Include (S.O.T.I) and it was received quite well.
    (Read about/see it here)

Although I try to lurk, participate, and keep in the loop as much as I can, it's hard to actually catch every bit of great news, development, and scripts that come out at SRL so I've decided to ask you guys for help!

I'd like to use this thread as a space for people to submit suggestions for anything that they would like to see/think should be included in the upcoming SOTIs. This can be pretty much anything from recent developments in any of the includes (SRL/SRL-OSR/etc) to hot new scripts that have been released or just any major updates or news that you feel the community should know about no matter how big or small.

There is no official format, but please just provide a link (if applicable) and a few short sentences (or more) about what exactly it is/why it's a big deal etc.

Once we have compiled enough ideas, I will create a video featuring those which I believe should be shared (of course citing whoever recommended it), and upload the next SOTI episode!

I don't plan to have any exact/set time interval between episodes, I will just be making them once I feel there is enough content to constitute an episode, so please suggest away and thank you!

Totally slipped my mind thanks guys perfect suggestion!
Besides just visiting the random development thread, showing the table, and telling who the developers are think anything else more specific should be said? Don't want to get too detailed about how exactly they work, but maybe some neat info about them.

Tell us about how the gravedigger random is going to work, a brief background of each of the developers (1-2 sentences of what they have contributed/ 1-2 cool things about them)

I would use the table in OSR dev as Hobbit doesn't update the public one very often

Like already mentioned, something about random events, as they are so "core" in autoing for long periods and remaining unbanned,

As for what exactly you can say about them, it's completely up to you, I have no idea maybe a vid of some of the solver's working? (Some of them are supposed to - we're trying)

Programming is like trying keep a wall of shifting sand up, you fix one thing but somewhere else starts crumbling

I think as someone who is new to using color to bot instead of using injection/reflection, it kind of boggles my mind to how you would solve some of the randoms. Like RJJ stated the gravedigger one is a perfect example. Another one I was looking at was the ScapeRune or the Evil Twin. Coming from a color/text reading stand point I feel like this would be incredibly hard if not impossible. Since they are moving, what you have to click is random, and there is no text to verify what you are doing? I think it would be a great learning experience for some of us new comers to the forums that are really looking into getting as involved as possible with SRL and it's developments towards 07 scape.

also discuss how all of the random events are specificly aimed at color bots. I'll give you a few examples:

Maze - using same color walls and doors, everything has the same uptext
Grave digger - same colors object, spinning around
    Quiz Master - Same idea
Prison Pete/Freaky forestor - NPC's are all the same color and have little differences
Evil Tree - You can't see face if your at an odd angle
Pinball - Camera angle constantly changes

And the one thing that most have the same: Black minimap so no mmtopoint

JJ solved the molly random before randoms were removed and if scaperune is the island one, it was solved as well. I think prison pete was the only? or one of the only ones not solved at the end (although it was solved at one point).

    Anything besides randoms people?
DannyRS made a good point saying although a lot of the easier ones are solved, the harder ones are still being tweaked/completed/etc. It defiantly is good new that I will include/highlight in the next episode but I also need other things to include.

Maybe some new popular scripts etc to point out too?

Remember there's no set deadline for these, just letting you know!

I know there are a lot of new people lurking around the forums (like myself) and I think something that would be nice to touch on script writing.

What I mean is basically some of the new things that will be coming when the official SRL-OSR comes out. Anything new that might make our scripts better? What exactly does releasing SRL-OSR mean to use besides supporting randoms? Also I know there was a poll somewhere around that got a bunch of people talking about bringing back Reflection for walking/pathing. Has it been disccused? Though I realize a lot of the old members that worked on it have long since been inactive for the most part.

Maybe you could do as you said and find some scripts that are pretty well written and talk about them. What makes a good script vs a bad script? Is it how it handles acting human? Or is it how friendly the GUI is?

    Just some ideas
Looking forward to watching the next episode

    Cheers!

Tell them to test out my Fletcher I think it's really buggy... but it writes logs to help me fix that

    Thanks.
    Any more things worth disusing?
I'm guessing I should maybe just wait for SRLOSR official release until I make a new one, but who knows how long that will take...

    Does anyone use DannyRS anymore?
Is the SRL07 'official' (as in updates via Simba) yet? (doubt it).
Do pretty much all scripts now use SRL07 and not DannyRS?

SRL-OSR = Up to date include (yet un-released to the simba build/updater due to randoms)
note Ashaman88 made a short guide on using random detecting here: http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=100946
also note that the linked srl-osr is very useful in osr scripts, acting as the srl5 does for eoc rs, in terms of most/all core functions

The single .simba file DannyRS created is unknown to me as to whether it is up to date, or how many functions are supported.

    Thank you so very much @Le Jingle;

Yeah I'd assume by now DannyRS (although very helpful at the time) is now no longer in use, and everyone is using SRL-OSR, I wouldn't expect it to be official/in Simba yet, but it's what everyone DLs and uses.

What about getting your SMART to load RS07 vs EoC, what is the most up to date/proper way to do this?
Is it done by SRL-OSR itself, or must some manual editing be done?

Scripts still do use Danny's include, possibly the should be cached to an outdated section of the forum as they make 75% of all the 07 install problems(the laborious methods of changing globals.simba and a few of the smart references.)
I don't think the SLR-OSR is official yet although any long term 07 script uses it nowadays.
I think the split is still pretty even about using danny's include and srl-osr, not really sure why...

Loads OSR automatically with osr include download. I do believe it requires smart 8.0 though
