does anyone have any experience in being a 'paying cheater'?
I wonder if buying spins or coins give you a higher status that lessons your punishments. (would make sense from a business point of view)

Nobody knows for sure...
If that's really the case Jagex probably will never mention it publicly anyway.
I wouldn't be surprised if it did :d
Kidding but well used to be a theory that having members would make you less likely to be banned and it seemed to be true but all their doing now is banning people
Everyone gets banned/Judges the same no matter what you buy or pay for. During the past ban waves, Many users had 1 Year+ membership status, $100 worth of spins and still got banned. Jagex is just banning all no matter what.
wait u can buy gp from jagex now?
It's impossible to know. Tough, I pay like 40$ a month for add-ons + membership and, maybe because of that, my 2 bans didn't pass 2 days. I feel like, if I were f2p, I'd get instant permanent ban...
Judging by powerbot posts, it seems to be that they ban everyone equally. I've seen plenty of members and F2P banned over there.

So...If you buy 5,627,250 Spins they MIGHT consider it![]()
My first ban was for botting farming with injection bots, it was intensive botting; around 5 hours of botting directly. The second ban was ridiculous. I was using a fighting bot for the second time with an injection bot (together, both didn't pass 3 hours of use in 2 days) after stopping for a while with this type of macroing, then I was logged out and my ban lasted for 2 days. Both my appeals are pending for more than a month now. And that's how I learned that we shouldn't trust a macro that you can't have access to the scripts and see if they have good anti-ban or not.

stone this vile hand that strokes you,
spit on this lips that kiss you." (Augusto dos Anjos, translated from brazillian portuguese to english)
Buying spins, buying runecoins, buying anything that is jagex related, even being a paying member does not make you any different when it comes down to banning you as to banning anyone else.
This has been prove true before, not just from my case when I was permanently banned, even while I paid that $75-$80 for becoming a gold premier member, buying some spins( for the hell of it) and having a main that was 7 years old.

I think it affects. You see JaGex is more likely to ban free players than members.
Someone said in this or another RS related forum that if you care for your account (have JAG activated, recovery questions set, email registered,...) you are less likely to get a ban.
And I definitely relate to that. I always have it all set and I bot everyday, I used to bot with powerbot and I never got banned or got any offence.
I don't know about buying spins or coins but getting membership and caring for the security of your account definitely helps you not getting banned that often.
Until recently Jagex hasn't really banned many people for botting aside from obvious goldfarming accounts with names like rtytryyet, but they've finally started to crack down on more people, members included. I think you used to be safe as long as you were P2P and weren't goldfarming, but now I think it's important to be cautious about what you bot and where you bot. If you're botting something that's heavily botted by java bots (there are way more of them to provide botwatch data) then you're probably not as safe.
