    Default Careful Botting Everyone!

I've seen multiple Real World Trade/Macro Ban threads created at various (pretty much every) RS botting sites.
Every now and then a "mini-mass-ban" like this happens.

Most happened yesterday/today so if you're not banned yet, you might be fine until next time, but better safe than sorry.

Jagex has been (and is still is) cracking down hard on botters and real world traders durring the past month orso.

Remember always (and now more than ever) to practice safe botting procedures and take care of your accounts!

If you really wish to keep your accounts safe, I'd lay low and just stop botting entirely for a week or two.

That's good advice, I've noticed the same threads on here and Sythe (mostly) of all the recent bans going around. The best advice I can give is practice multiple activities on your account, don't limit to just one (especially if it produces profit).

    Current projects:
[ AeroGuardians (GotR minigame), Motherlode Miner, Blast furnace ]

Looks like Jenny was for real about that threat

Although in all seriousness, F2P worlds are creepy empty. Nobody at the mining spots, and only a handful of legits at the woodcutting spots.

Oh lordy I didn't know it was that big of a hit (enough to be noticeable ingame). Yay for legits/people who didn't get banned!
Unless maybe RS updated recently and Java bots are down for a little while?

Could be, I was on one F2P world with 100 people on it. Nobody at lumbridge west swamp mine, lumbridge east swamp mine, OR Varrock west mine (used to be packed). The only bot I saw was an ess miner/air crafter running past.

Uh, idk where you guys have been for the last 3 months....This is nothing new. Bans have been pretty bad for a while...Powerbot lost nearly 3/4 of its user base. Runescape banned over 40,000 accounts and the member base (for all of runescape) has dropped from 660k to 470k last i checked in the last 3 months. Note: This only counted p2p players before bonds were released

Bans were getting better last couple weeks, but still pretty bad. regardless of botting method (EOC,07, java, colour, Opengl) Obviously java is worst, but bans all around.

Jagex has been making MANY public announcements about bans and new rwting actions and basically taunting botters/rwters publicly

I mean i know SRL wasn't "officially" up till couple days ago, but seriously, did you guys go under a rock or something o.O

Powerbot hasn't had anymore reported bans then normal. Script usage is actually up a TON this week compared to previous few weeks. i know a couple people botting 16hrs/day there for last 3 weeks no ban's.

I'd just been using a modified SRL5 and hadn't had any bans. Also I no longer check pb ban happenings.

Ive had two. only temp bans and one was a known goldfarming spot so no surprise.

Other was a quick patched script so i can see why it got banned.

Not just talking about PB tho , as ban section is pretty dead (aside from asking if the ban "wave" is over lol)

Mainly reddit/sythe/IRC's and jagex itself is where most the information comes from. Ive been gathering alot of statistical info from publicly released runescape records too. I can post those soon if anyone is interested, gave me alot better of an idea about how jagex works the bans now, the cycles and the so called "waves".

Yes please do that, sounds interested.

And yea sure for the past month or so Jagex has been banning way more than usually, but in the last two days there have been a much larger number of bans than normal, without a doubt, which is why I posted this.

Only EOC for me. My mate does OSR and doesn't have a problem, aside from the manual bans.

The membership statistics and such carry across for all games though.

I saw your account at the Rogues' Den, I didn't say anything because I figured it wasn't you cooking, haha.

I must say, of the bans I've seen posted here on SRL most of these are reported by users who also use Java bots, like (07) TriBot & OSBot / Powerbot (RS3). With that being said, has anyone here been banned on RS3 or OSRS who has only Simba? I have no trace of any Java bots on my computer, Simba only, and Simba has played 95% of my total time in OSRS with no signs of detection from Jag.

Its pretty easy right now not to get banned botting since most bots have been down for a few months and SIMBA is only now just getting started to recover from RS3 ... Most bots are probably private so its hard to really compare private SIMBA bans vs PB vs TRIBOT etc etc. I read the PB Divination thread back when Jagex could see client side and mass banned anyone that used their client/script ... it was insanity. I dont think that has happened for SIMBA scripts but like I said we havent had a really high amount of functioning scripts in a while.
