    Default Breaking

I've noticed since my return about a week ago that quite a few scripts have a breaking system included. Does anyone use this? I know back in the day of robots.net their breaking system was easily detectable and would get you banned in less than a week. Is it still the same way?

Taking breaks causing bans? I think you've got it backwards mate.

    Current projects:
[ AeroGuardians (GotR minigame), Motherlode Miner, Blast furnace ]

I think they could possibly cause bans. If you're dumb enough to play for exactly the same about of time before taking a break, and then you break for exactly the same about of time, every time, it may look suspicious. Even though most break handlers allow the player to select a play time and break duration they still have an element of randomness, which, as Flight said, would (hopefully) reduce bans

No antiban could be better than taking a small break (5-20) mins every couple of hours imo.

I use it in all my scripts and will continue to. I feel/believe like it may trick the system and not cause randoms to pop out all the freaking time.

Yes they caused bans. Jagex was able to detect their breaking algorithm (since computers can't be completely random). You may be able to go back on some of the old websites and see. The only time I was banned with rsbots was when I used the breaking system.

Thats interesting. (I assumed you're talking OSRS.) Seems like good way to get around those hard to detect randoms!

Yes, I remember back in 2007ish when Narcle's auto fighter was in it prime, he made you log out every 9 minutes and you never used to get a random. The next day when I logged in (after a night of botting), as soon as I buried a bone, BOOM a random would pop up, every time without fail. Strange eh?

E: It used to be quite funny actually. I used to tell bystanders I was part of Jagex and say "watch this I'll get a random"

I feel like it doesn't give a chance for a random, unless you get unlucky. It's a good way to get around the system especially fir OSRS.

Yeah it was! I haven't seen anything match it with its perfect blend of simplicity and longevity. (Btw are you back and scripting again P1nky? )
