    Question Question about Runetracker

So if any of you don't know first of all, here's a link to the website:
    http://runetracker.org/
Basically it tracks your xp gains and is like a highscores for that

Anyway, my question is about the downloadable updater (http://runetracker.org/updater). In herblore I should have been in the top 42 (maybe 5) for the week for xp gains, but since nobody obviously searches my name - it doesn't get updated. So this is an auto-updater. My question is: is it safe to use at the same time as the simba client? I don't really do the whole technology scene so I really don't know if it'd have anything embedded that could detect simba or not. But i do care about my account a good deal (just not enough hours in the day y'know?) so just want to make sure it'd be safe to do before downloading it.

    Thanks!

From a cursory look I'd say it's safe to use, considering it doesn't interact with the RS client at all.
Currently lurking while messing around with dll injection. Will continue contributing after I finish my quest.

Yeah it's totally unrelated to the game, and even if it did interact with the client they aren't affiliated with Jagex at all, let alone are they checking what client you are using/determining who is botting and forwarding this information to Jagex.

It basically just schedules a lookup of your name on their website.
Good to be cautious but this is definitely not something to worry about

As everyone has already said, its safe. What the updater does is just basically searches for your name as a replacement to other people doing it. I use it just for myself for indexing purposes.

To make the updater start automatically with your computer, id suggest placing it in your startup folder...
For windows 7, (and probably 8) its located at
    Code:
    C:\Users\<YOURUSERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
