    Default Enchanted Snow

So, I know the event is over halfway done, I believe. But, I just wanted to get a feeling for or a list down of what people are doing to get enchanted snows and what the rates are.

I have been chopping ivy, killing monsters, and making gold necklaces on different accounts. The rate at which I get enchanted snow is at about 400-500 per hour. This was from killing monsters when the drop rate was double for it and then doing non-combat now when the non-combat is double snow. I haven't paid a lot of attention to it, just an estimate. Scratch that, I see on my one fellow they got 500 in the last hour and a half, did Jagex decrease the amount of snow you get? What else have you all gotten?

Also, what have you guys won from the presents? I have gotten a MH Turkey and a cracker that was full of crap.

Most of my snow was just from finding it our doing dailys to get more TH Spins. I have bought 2 bonds in the last two days just to see how not worth it it is to buy the bonds, I can say that I didn't get much snow from the 2 bonds so it wasn't worth it to me. Maybe other people have had better luck?

I've opened 80 small presents and 20 big presents. I got nothing but lamps, lol.

    Slightly off-topic:

I panicked when I saw someone mention that you could get scythes from enchanted snow. Then I realized they were talking about "christmas scythes", the latest in Jagex's line of pointless new items.

I can't be the only one who literally does not care in the slightest about holiday events anymore. I can't be the only one who realizes they're not useful, not fun, and riddled with microtranscations and P2P requirements.

*sigh* holiday events were a big part of what made the game fun for me. I remember waking up every morning approaching a holiday, racing downstairs to check if the new holiday event was on RuneScape yet. I'd then spend hours playing to make sure I got every last bit of reward I could. My all-time favorite was the 2010 Easter event (squirrel ears reward).

you seem to be forgetting that you've grown up a lot since then, if the same content was released now instead of then, you would react differently (not nearly as excited)

Yea, they are quite pointless. I haven't really been legiting the content much. I run a script to try and collect enchanted snow. I have done the Snowman event where you gotta lure him to Lumbridge Crater, maybe it's only me but I spent FOREVER trying to get people to run to the crater and not keep attacking them. Then all you get is an extra present delivery to someone to just get another piece of paper to add to the cracker that you don't even get to pull because the notification pops up and you have 10 seconds to get there lol. Fun stuff I tell ya. haha

I've won a rubber turkey, but I honestly do not like the event. The lamps do not offer enough experience, and it has a huge rich get richer scheme, where people with lots of IRL/in-game money can spend their money for higher chances.
