Hello everyone,
I just received a 2-Day temp ban on Old School listed as a bot-busting moderate offence. The date of the ban was Dec 2.
The very shocking thing about this is that I have never, NEVER used SMART to bot, only browser bots.
The script I was using at the time was Hoodzfighter color, training combat at the red spiders in the Varrock Sewers, and I was botting fairly heavily at over 16 hours per day.
I'm taking this as a very grave warning as I probably will also have my stats rolled back and some of my items taken from me, a devastating blow to a level 105+ main.
I probably won't bot again as my account is under suspicion from Jagex, and I'm not prepared to risk an account that I've spent a lot of time on (Even though it is 75% botted)
Possible Reasons for ban in the week leading up to it:
- Changed my attack style to shared on the whip leveling defence very quickly (going up in the hiscores too quickly)
- Mentioned "Bot" / "Botting" a lot in char when talking with other players (Saying I am not botting if they accuse me of botting)
- Same players who called me out for botting may have reported me, along with the new report abuse update the report could have been handled better and my account reviewed
- Posted troll like posts on the forums, complaining about splashing etc. which got attention from Jagex Mods, so they could have investigated my account
- More likely reason is not mixing up legit play with botting, and just botting as I've been fairly busy IRL
~
People need to take this as a grave warning to significantly improve their antiban on accounts they can't afford to lose. The fact that this was only in the browser as well is very worrying. Heed my warning and improve your antiban or suffer the consequences.
Can anyone who has had a similar experience tell me what happened to their stats/items when they got unbanned?

. I literally made the title of my recent script "3Garret3's Merchant AIDS", misspelling my name and giving people aids instead of aid. This is not surprising.
