    Default Double XP Weekend Info!

Hi all. I just came across this info about this upcoming double XP weekend and it got me mad. I was going to train prayer using cremation but that is excluded from getting the XP bonus. Now I have to find something else to do...

RS3 AFAIK. I don't think the OSRS community would like double xp weekend.

I dont get why ectofuntus and player owned house altar is excluded. They are the two Best methods for leveling prayer as far as i know

I assume its due to the dragon bots that would profit from the increase in demand for bones... Prayer is already expensive enough as it is and dxp would only inflate the price of bones and would allow gold famers to profit even more.

Thats the only logical reason that I could think that they would think of.. Other than that there isnt any good reason in my opinion.

They are excluded due to how fast they already are.

Using a pack yak with Frost Dragon bones you can reach 1 million xp per hour. At 2 million xp an hour on a dxpw it would take roughly 5-6 hours to go from level 1 to 99.

If this were the reason, summoning wouldn't work either since it's already like 7m xp/hr.

It's excluded because of the way it works - DXP weekend boosts the base experience rate (in this case, the burying xp). Altars (and ectofunctus) also do this; a gilded altar with two burners lit gives 250% extra xp (350% total xp), boosting 72 xp (regular burying xp for a Dragon Bone) to 252 xp. DXP weekend would boost that a further 100%, giving you 350% extra xp, and 450% total xp. Anything else that also boosts the base experience rate - such as the Flaming Skull for Runecrafting, and bonus experience - works the same way as an altar.
