Why dont you use The SRL Player Manager?

The SRL player manager is a way of recording your players into a file (default "Chars.srl") using a form

Iv talked to some people who say they dont use it, Id like to know why

I personally coming from old school RS I like to auto 1 account at a time and have it under my control because half the scripts were retarded back then even though it was easier to run them.

Plus I like to fix bugs in scripts so I dont get banned.

But I have used it and I did like it. I think some people think its kind of confusing.

well im trying to update it so you can add options such as boolean1 if you need to, (so im more intrested in vote 4)
the scripter can choose which options they want

I dont like using it because i hate having to type it all in i guess, when i use someone elses char or add more in etc. I like just copy and pasting in the text.

well when tryping a password into the forum
you can change the text to some unreadbale font so if a friend or someoneis watching you they wount know what you are typing.
I dont understand why (if anyone) doesnt like to type out theri use and pass.
The player doc saves it all so you just gota enter the info once per script.
I think it has enough options but i think the options should be editable somehow by whoever is making the script.
If they just want user pass and .loc they should be able to JUST HAVE THOSE no more, no less
over all i belive th player form is completely brilliant!

uhh yeah those are my thoughts =)

    EDIT:
yeah i agree about the confusing part
haveing to scripting knolwege and seeing
    Player.Loc would confuse me lol.
even those the // side notes can help maybey we can make it a little more user friendly to the noobs =)

I think it should have the ability to store every variable. That way we can organize our army better... Say use String1 for group name Alpha Team, Beta Team, Bankers, Traders, Masters, etc...

No point having all that data unless it is easily accessable

I don't use it, because I like the way everything is in one script, I can easily Add and DELETE players, also, I don't like posted all my char names in a file, I'd rather have them in all my scripts.

The best way to contact me is by email, which you can find on my website: http://wizzup.org
I also get email notifications of private messages, though.

I dont like typing my username and password into a form on my own scripts Because I might steal my own passwords and I dont want that happening.

Ps. I have never used anyone elses scar scripts to auto accept one to test for someone.

I voted for 2, i like the form, there is nothing wrong with it. What would make it better however is the option of what info you want the user to enter. I'm sure that if someone posts a popular script that lots of people will use and that it wouldnt need Location for example that there are people that will ask questions about it, just my 2 pennies

I use it on most of my script, but I think the main problem why people don't use it is because they cant add there own options and they don't know how/can't be assed to make there own custom one.

Haha.. this guy rocks. Haven't been here in a while. Look diffrent.

I dont use it because i'm to lazy to create more then one character to use for autoing. I'd rather it just gather things on one character log out, log in after a while then repeat.

I voted other cause i dont use SRL anymore. I use an edited version of SRL to suit my needs. Obviously I'm not gonna publish it, cause I don't want people to mistake it for the real SRL. In fact, its just too similar, but no player manager. To make it compile faster, I cut that part out .

    It's been a while... but I'm BACK!!!
