    Default PathWalk vs RadialRoadWalk

Hmmm I was wandering what you guys think is better. Either a Pathwalk or a RadialRoadWalk?

I'd say it all depends on what you want to do.

Path works with DDTM's, the problem is, that the tolerance will be 0 for every path, so you can only use it with AutoColor functions. RadialRoadWalk, will find the color between the info you put, but you must use AutoColor functions too...
So whats better? your choise. What i recomend you? dont use paths and radialroadwalk, use DDTM's, LinearWalkEx or RadialWalkEx.

Because if you're NOT autocoloring it, you're screwed. From my experience, PathWalk is good/better then RRW.

It doesnt autocolor, you have to enter an autocolor function... im not saying its bad, but if you are walking in a place with a lot of colors, path and radialroadwalk wont work there...

Actually, I meant that in FindPath, you can choose for example a rock in the MM, and autocolor it - but if you've chosen green grass its kinda difficult to autocolor.

I'm not familiar with Pathwalk, although RadialRoadWalk works well enough for me.

Why are you guys crazed about tolerance? AUTOCOLOR = NO TOLERANCE NEEDED. End of story...

Perhaps give tutorial links to both, so people can access :O

Or list YOUR views, and pro / cons in both? :S

So people can judge evenly, without being bias from the other votes sayinr RRW etc etc

    @ bullzeye: ALL CAPS!

    @The rest of you:
RR/RRW is easier as it only needs radials and radius. More accurate and has a bigger chance (If bigger radius ) of walking to that specified spot(s).
Only used pathwalk once, just my opinion

How about adding RadialWalkEx to that poll?

Its just that ive never managed to get walkpath to work for me, as the road colours change too much. Still, once they do, Ima try it out.

    I think exactly the opposite.
RadialWalk is easy to use, WalkPath() is very accurate, and it may be very handy to use as reference.

WalkPath depends on the input. With enough reference points, just like with D/DTM's, it can be 100% accurate and reliable. WalkPath is great for short, complex walks, while RRW is great for long walks on simplish paths. For example, walking up from Al-Kharid gate where you pay to Varrok is a very simple path that a RRW can nicely walk through easily, while WalkPath would take a very long time to script, meanwhile getting from Varrok East bank to Varrok castle can be much more easily done with WalkPath as RRW is hard to make as dynamically. Though, the best walking of all is the combination of both, or just make a power script where the walking can't fail
By reading this signature you agree that mixster is superior to you in each and every way except the bad ways but including the really bad ways.

lol thanks to all of you, apparently I've created a debate
I've decided to stick with RRW, as it is 100% working for me.
