Why within an hour? Just make it so that if anyone posts 2 times in a row anywhere they get it

Or just don't allow it to happen. (like give an error message or something)

    Vouch! xD

I like this idea. Because if they need to post again you use the edit button...

Where'd you find that? I always thought it was just plain posting twice in a row.

I Support this I'm seeing some people respond with Triple posts. Even though the rule is enforced it's being forgotten and/or ignored. It should be a board rule that it will not let you do more than 1 post without another post below.

yeah, sounds like a good idea
but there might be a reason why this hasn't already been implemented...

well maybe it's really hard to do?
    I dunno...lol
I don't know web design or how these forums are set up, but if there was a little check box to not allow double posting I think it woulda been checked a long time ago, right?

Yeah, I suppose so, I'm just saying that it might not be easy.
because I have no knowledge of how this is done.

Doubleposting isn't a serious problem, people who do that told not to and they stop.

Implementing that involves pretty good knowledge of the boards php structure or finding the mod on a site and "installing" it. It also then means that the mods will have very little to do which is never a good a thing. Anyway, just a popup warning them that they were the last poster and that if they if they double post without good reason then they will get an infraction and that if it was just to add to their previous post, they should instead edit it would be good
By reading this signature you agree that mixster is superior to you in each and every way except the bad ways but including the really bad ways.

I think you should never double-post, regarding the time that it has been without someone else posting. Edit ur previous post and keep the boards clean!
