Default Get rid of 'New Posts: #####"

You really should get rid of "New Posts: #####". It's bloody annoying, you can't miss it when you look at the toolbar. Seriously, who will read 27324 posts?

You really shouldn't care - it's a small part and isn't noticeable unless you look at the toolbar and a lot of people use it when logging in.
By reading this signature you agree that mixster is superior to you in each and every way except the bad ways but including the really bad ways.

Hm. Try to visit more often? Or just refresh. It's handy when you've been gone for some minutes or so then it'll show for example "New Posts: 11" (mine does at the moment) and you can easily read them..

    1. That's just extremely sad, I suggest checking out iSpy.
    2. Read the post, it clearly says why he wants it removed.

Well it only takes up an extra 149x22 pixels of your screen. I hardly notice it.

We should be worried about more important things

New is actually very usefull, you are just using it the wrong way.
I click new posts, open the threads I want to read, then I go to Quick Links-> Mark all threads read. Simple.

The best way to contact me is by email, which you can find on my website: http://wizzup.org
I also get email notifications of private messages, though.

Not all threads which are solved have to be closed.

Sometimes, people may want to add other comments, or someone in the future may want to ask something about it. If the thread is closed, it forces them to create a new topic.

If a thread is solved, we should just let it die. It's the best way to "close" a thread.

    Thanks
