    Hidden threads and weird tags.

Is it just me or are most of my tutorials (linked in signature) hidden in the thread sections?

And is it just me or are all the of threads all over the forum have weird tags in the front like SS02 or GA34 ect. ect..???

I really hope someone isn't tampering with my tutorials, and if they are, I would really like to know why.

I know Hobbit has be reorganizing the tutorial section. So your tutorials probably have been moved and then a mark made before the title. He has a index for all of those moved and links etc.

I'm pretty sure Hobbit (or another moderator) edited the thread titles to make things easier to locate for the Index stickies that he created in each tutorial forum.

As for not being able to see you tutorials, I'm not sure if that's the case or not (I saw your intermediate scripting tutorial in its respective forum, but haven't checked the others).

In the tutorial section all the threads have strange tags like CA02 and GAO1 or is that just me?

It was just explained to you - Hobbit edited the thread titles so he could organize the threads in his stickies. You'd have to ask him what some of them mean, though others are pretty easy to figure out.

I still can not find my beginner or intermediate tutorial.

I'll talk to Hobbit about this.

It's on page 3 in the beginner forum. The intermediate one is on page 2 of its respective forum also. It appears the tutorial forums have been organized by thread titles (alphabetical order) instead of last poster.

Interesting, I really don't like this to be honest with you.

I strongly believe they should be arranged as

    Stickys
    Most recent
    least recent

the useful ones that are not recent can be linked in one of the stickys, this is a HUGE inconvenience for both me and the tutorial users.

@Staff (Hobbit), PLEASE change it to the above suggested.

    Thanks,

Me and the staff and some other members have had lengthy discussion about this. This is the new way for Tutorial Island. It is vastly more efficient. The popular opinion is they like it. So please wait till it is done before you criticize my work.

I like the index, so freaking handy.

    ALSO

You keep posting the same thing. Give it time, once the indexing is done, all of the topics will be re-ordered to the old way, this is becuase people will gravedig and bring them back to the top by posting. Just WAIT!

    No you can't

And please, people stop asking me to make you a tutorial island mod. If it ever happens it will happen a long time from now. So please stop pestering me. I'm growing rather tired of it.

No they will not be. They are staying with the forums set to alphabetical ordering. Please do not come to your own assumptions on what it happening then post them as facts

I don't have any problem with the tutorial island, and as it's not even done yet time will show what it'll be like..

Alphabetical ordering is the wrong way to go.
The jealous temper of mankind, ever more disposed to censure than
to praise the work of others, has constantly made the pursuit of new
methods and systems no less perilous than the search after unknown
    lands and seas.

I thought it was still the same, just with the new tags. Sorry.

Yea, I like how the tutorial sections are being organized and all, but I can't post tutorials anymore. Is this supposed to happen?

Yes, you post in the main section, then it will be moved to appropriate section.

Yea you can but it will take a long time before any one even notices that you posted a new tutorial or if something new was posted in your tutorial because of the Hobbit's stubbornness to enforce his Nazi-alphabet beliefs on the tutorial section over the clearly favorable most recent arranging which could be all accomplished within the .Index thread alone instead of screwing with the actual thread ordering in the section.

Convention beyond reason, "wait until it's done before you judge" why wait until it is done? it will still be that way when it is "done".

Get used to it I guess, it will never be as good as it used to be, but that's what Hobbit wants so deal with it.

Good or bad, right or wrong, some people just do what they want.
